Hello, dear readers! Salads are an integral part of both the holiday and everyday menus. Be it the famous Mimosa or the exquisite Orlando. These recipes, like many others, are already on my website. You can find them by searching or using the navigation in the site header. And today we have a salad with squid, corn and egg.
The combination is simple, but the taste is bomb. In addition, seafood in the composition is very healthy. They have a lot of protein. Try replacing this light treat with some salad with sausage or potatoes. Many guests will be grateful to you.
Delicious and simple squid salad with egg and onion
A simple recipe for a very tasty squid salad. Apart from the main ingredient - squid - practically no ingredients are required, so preparing it is quite quick and easy. The salad turns out to be very tender, light and low-calorie - if desired, it can also be seasoned with sour cream rather than mayonnaise.

The onion must be scalded. The fact is that squid has a slightly bitter taste, and fresh bitter onions will only emphasize it. Boiling water will remove this bitterness, and in the refrigerator the vegetable will become sweet and crispy.
You will need:
- frozen squid – 900 gr.;
- chicken egg – 1 pc.;
- large onion – 1 pc.;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste.
Cooking stages.
While the squid is thawing, cook the egg and peel the onion. Then it needs to be cut into thin half rings.
Scald the onion with boiling water and immediately drain it, let the onion cool and put it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Now you can do the squid. Cut the carcass lengthwise, clean the insides and remove the chitinous plate.
Now carefully remove the film from the squid - both from the inside and from the outside.
Pour a little water into the pan. When it boils, place the squid in it and stir. As soon as the water with the squid begins to boil, remove them with a slotted spoon.
When the squids have cooled, cut them into thin strips.
Peel the already boiled egg and chop finely.
Combine squid and egg in a salad bowl. Add onion. Season the salad with mayonnaise, add salt to taste and stir.
Leave to sit in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
How to cook squid for salad?
The salad will certainly turn out very tasty, tender, light and satisfying if you know how to cook squid correctly. This seafood product is very unusual and requires a delicate attitude.
If you slightly violate the technology of its preparation, the salad will be irrevocably spoiled. That is why I advise you to do this literally with a stopwatch in your hands. A joke, of course, but there is some truth in it.
If you keep the squid in boiling water for a minute too long, it will become rubbery, tough and tasteless.
They will be the same if you do not finish cooking them, for example, they will boil for only a few seconds.
How to boil squid correctly? I will describe the whole process in detail.
We will need:
- 4 large fresh squid;
- 2.5 liters of water;
- 1 tbsp. l. salt with a small slide;
- 10 pieces. allspice;
- 5 pieces. carnations;
- 2 bay leaves.
First, rinse them thoroughly in water.
1Now remove the top brown film from them. Grab it from the edge and pull. It is quite easy to clean, so I do not recommend pouring boiling water over the carcasses, as many housewives do. Firstly, the film will separate no easier than with the raw method, and secondly, the taste of the squid will deteriorate.
It is much more convenient to remove the skin from a raw carcass. The main thing is to do this from the edges, where the hole is and from the end of the tail.
2Now we remove the insides. To do this, turn the carcass inside out like a stocking and remove everything that is there, as well as hard plates (sticks). We rinse it thoroughly under running water.
3 Add salt, spices, bay leaf to boiling water. Make the heat as high as possible so that the water boils all the time. We will cook one squid at a time, i.e. one by one. This is the main secret.
How long should you cook squid so that they are soft and tender?
I do this. I lower the carcass into boiling water, gently press it down with a slotted spoon so that it does not float up and start counting to 7. The time is approximately 7 seconds. I take it out and put it on a plate.
Then I wait until the water boils again and put the next carcass into it. I count to seven again and take it out. I do this with all squid.
Some may think that 7 seconds is very little, but I assure you, the squid turns out completely cooked and very tender. The trick here is that during the cooking process you press the carcass almost to the bottom and therefore it is completely cooked. If you don’t press the carcass, but simply let it float freely in the pan, then it will cook only on one side, since the other will stick out above the water all the time.
Some housewives simply pour boiling water over the squid for 2 minutes and prepare a salad from it. I strongly advise against doing this! You just might get poisoned! This heat treatment is not enough! Squids MUST BOIL, and not JUST LYE IN HOT WATER, even for 2 minutes, but which also cools down every second.

How to cook frozen unpeeled squid for salad?
We've sorted out fresh squid, but what to do if it's frozen? First, they must be defrosted at room temperature, then washed and removed all films and plates.
Never defrost squid in hot water! Firstly, it can only thaw in places, and secondly, it will become hard from prolonged exposure to hot water.
Also, do not go to the other extreme and put frozen carcasses directly into boiling water. In this case, the seafood will be spoiled and all you have to do is throw it away.
How long to cook cleaned, thawed squid for salad? The same amount as fresh ones, the preparation process of which I wrote above.
How to make a salad with squid, apple and egg
A simple and very tasty light salad that you can eat even on a diet, especially if you replace the mayonnaise with another dressing. Tender eggs go well with soft squid, and the apple adds additional sourness to the dish, which is enhanced by lemon juice.
The easiest way is to buy squid cleaned - it will save time. And not everyone likes to clean seafood. It is better to take an apple that is more sour and green. It is advisable that it is not too juicy, otherwise the salad will turn out to be too liquid.
You will need:
- squid – 350 gr.;
- mayonnaise – 50 gr.;
- chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
- apple – 1 pc.;
- salt to taste:
- Bay leaf:
- lemon – ¼ piece;
- onion – ¼ pc.
Cooking stages.
First you need to prepare the squid. If they are not cleaned, then rip open the abdomen, remove all the insides and the chitinous plate. Carefully lift the film and remove it from the carcass from all sides.
Pour water into the pan. Add some salt.
Wash the lemon and cut into 4 parts. Peel the onion and also separate it. Place 1 share of lemon and onion into the pan where you will cook the squid.
At the same time, set the eggs to boil.
When the water boils, place the squid in it and cook for exactly 3 minutes. Then remove them with a slotted spoon and let cool.
Peel the cooled eggs.
Chop the apple into strips (don't forget to wash it first). Sprinkle it with lemon to prevent it from turning black. Stir.
Also cut the eggs into strips and then the squid. Combine with apples.
Season the salad with mayonnaise, add salt and pepper. Stir.
Light squid salad with Chinese cabbage and egg
A very light and incredibly appetizing salad with Chinese cabbage. Bright, fresh, juicy - it cooks very quickly. Juicy greens go well with sweet corn, which adds piquancy to the dish. And eggs with squid make the salad very tender.
Due to the abundance of colors - red, yellow, green and white - the salad comes out bright and cheerful. It will look very advantageous on any table, creating a festive mood.
You will need:
- squid – 250 gr.;
- chicken egg – 2 pcs.;
- small Chinese cabbage – 1 pc.;
- canned corn – 1 can;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste:
- pepper to taste.
Cooking stages.
Send the chicken eggs to boil.
Place the cleaned squids in boiling water and cook for 3 minutes.
Wash the Chinese cabbage and cut into strips.
Remove the finished squids and let them cool. Then cut into rings.
Peel and chop the cooled eggs.
Combine all ingredients in a salad bowl and add corn to them. Don't forget to drain the liquid beforehand.
Salt, add pepper to taste and mayonnaise. Mix everything well.
How to make a delicious squid salad
Here's another delicious salad that I think you'll like. This salad is generally simple and has a minimum of ingredients. This dish can be said to be for the lazy, it cooks quickly and has a delicate taste and amazing aroma thanks to green cucumbers. So let's cook it together.
Ingredients:
- Green cucumber - 250 gr.;
- Eggs - 4 pcs.;
- Dill - 12 branches;
- Squid - 400 gr.;
- Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. spoons.

Prepare a delicate squid salad with egg and melted cheese
Another really easy to follow delicious salad recipe. In addition to the classic combination of egg and squid, melted cheese plays a big role here. It is very important to take cheese, and not a cheese product. It will give the dish additional tenderness and make the taste more interesting.
Before you start grating the cheese, it is better to put it in the freezer for at least half an hour, and preferably an hour. This simple step will make grating the cheese easier. After adding, you need to stir everything thoroughly, since the grated processed cheese usually forms a lump, and if you do not pay attention to this, it will be distributed unevenly throughout the salad.
You will need:
- squid carcasses – 5 pcs.;
- chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
- processed cheese – 1 pc.;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste:
- pepper to taste;
- garlic to taste.
Cooking stages.
Place the eggs in cold water and let them cook.
In a separate pan, boil water for the squid. When it boils, put the already cleaned carcasses in there and cook for 90 seconds.
Then remove with a slotted spoon and leave until completely cool.
Meanwhile, peel and dice the boiled eggs.
Then cut the squid into rings. Combine in a salad bowl with the eggs.
Grate the processed cheese on a grater. Place in a salad bowl.
Season with salt, add pepper and squeeze the pre-peeled garlic. Season with mayonnaise and mix.
Festive squid and egg salad with pineapple and corn
Another option for a light salad for a holiday or everyday table. It can be prepared quickly and easily, and the taste is very interesting. Tender squid with a slight bitterness, sweet corn and tropical pineapple combined with all the usual boiled egg.
If you buy unpeeled squid, there is an easy way to quickly clean them - scald them with boiling water. Then the skin will begin to peel off on its own, and you will just need to scrape it off.
You will need:
- squid – 600-700 gr.;
- canned corn – 100 gr.;
- hard cheese – 50 gr.;
- canned pineapple – 4 rings;
- chicken egg – 2 pcs.;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste
Cooking stages.
Pour boiling water over the squid carcasses. After a few seconds, transfer them to cold water and rinse them. Rub the carcasses with your hands - this way you will quickly remove the skin.
Boil water in a saucepan. Send the squid there and cook for 2 minutes from the moment the water boils again.
Remove the finished squid from the water and leave until completely cool.
Cut the pineapple rings into small cubes.
Cut the boiled eggs into small pieces, squid into rings and place in a salad bowl.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and add to the rest of the ingredients. Add corn there too.
Salt the salad and season with mayonnaise, mix everything well.
Delicious salad with squid, eggs and green peas
In addition to the classic combination of squid and eggs, canned green peas are often added. It has the same tenderness, so it perfectly complements the main ingredients. It is extremely important to drain the juice before adding the peas.
The salad will turn out tender, with a light taste - you will want to eat it again and again. At the same time, it contains few calories, which means you don’t have to worry about your figure. Green peas are a great alternative to corn for those who don't like sweet notes in their salad. And fried onions give it a piquant flavor.
You will need:
- squid carcass – 6 pcs.;
- canned peas;
- chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste;
- vegetable oil for frying.
Cooking stages.
Send the eggs to boil. Also put water on the stove for the squid.
Now you can start cleaning the squid. Cut it and remove the insides along with the chitinous plate. Then pry it with a knife and remove the film.
When the water boils, place the squid there - the water must be salted first. Cook for 3 minutes.
Remove the squids and let them cool.
Peel and chop the onion. Heat a frying pan with oil and lightly fry the onion.
Peel and cut the boiled eggs - you can cut them into cubes or strips.
Cut the cooled squid into strips, cut off the tail part from one of them and set aside to decorate the salad.
Combine all products, including green peas - leave about 1.5 tablespoons of peas to decorate the salad.
Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise, mix.
Place the salad in a mound on a large plate. Place the tail of the squid in the center in the form of a bowl and fill it with peas.
Salad with squid, mushrooms and mayonnaise
Ingredients:
- Ready squids - 250 gr.
- Mushrooms - 150 gr.
- Salt - to taste
- Pickled cucumbers - 4 pcs.
- Boiled eggs - 2 pcs.
- Lemon
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Mayonnaise - 1 tbsp. spoon
Cooking method:
1. Boiled squid, defrost and wash. Cut fresh champignons into slices. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the mushrooms. When they are almost ready, add a little salt.
2. Squeeze 2 tbsp lemon juice. spoons, pour it into the squid. Chop the onion very finely, pour boiling water over it and put it aside.
3. Chop the eggs into small pieces. We cut the cucumbers into rounds. Drain the juice from the squid, the water from the onion and mix these ingredients. Then we send them mushrooms, an egg and a cucumber.
4. Dill is a good choice of greens, wash it and finely shred it. Add some salt and add a tablespoon of mayonnaise.
This dish is prepared quickly. On holidays, such a salad belongs on our table. Bon appetit.
Sea salad of squid and crab sticks with egg and cheese
This is a very tasty salad, which, although it has quite a lot of ingredients, is all simple. Each product has its place here, and without it the salad would not be as tasty. Fried lek with carrots, in addition to just an enchanting taste, also give an amazing aroma, hard cheese adds piquancy to the dish. This is especially noticeable since it is sliced and not grated. Crab sticks highlight the sea flavor of the salad, making it more original.
The second important component is the sauce. Here the salad is dressed not just with mayonnaise - you need to prepare a special sauce. Which in itself is a work of art. And in a salad it emphasizes the taste of each product.
You will need:
- squid – 300 gr.;
- crab sticks – 150 gr.;
- hard cheese – 50 gr.;
- chicken egg – 2 pcs.;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- carrots – 1 pc.;
- canned corn;
- salt to taste;
- vegetable oil for frying.
You will need for the sauce:
- mayonnaise – 60 gr.;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- soy sauce – 1 tbsp. l.;
- dill to taste.
Cooking stages.
Set the eggs to boil. Also put water on the squid. When it boils, send the carcasses there and cook for just a couple of minutes - don’t forget to add some water.
Peel the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots.
Heat a frying pan by adding oil. First, lightly fry the onion, then add the carrots to it. Fry for some more time, stirring.
Chop the squid. Also chop the boiled eggs and already cooled squid. Cut the cheese into cubes.
Combine all the ingredients in a salad bowl - you need to drain the liquid from the corn in advance.
Now you can start preparing the sauce. To do this, squeeze the garlic into a cup, add mayonnaise, pre-chopped herbs and add soy sauce. Stir.
Season the salad with the resulting sauce and mix everything again.
Recipe for salad with squid, cucumbers and crab sticks
Ingredients:
- Squid fillet - 100 gr.
- Crab sticks - 200 gr.
- Boiled eggs - 4 pcs.
- Cucumber - 2 pcs.
- Salt, pepper - to taste
- Mayonnaise sauce
Cooking method:
1. Prepare and process the fillet. Boil the eggs, wash the cucumber, and remove the film from the crab sticks.
2. Cut crab sticks, squid, cucumber into long and thin strips. Place everything in one bowl.
3. Peel the eggs and cut them randomly into cubes, strips or use an egg slicer, add to other ingredients. Salt, pepper and add mayonnaise to taste.

- squid – 200 gr.;
- cheese – 100 gr.;
- mayonnaise – 70 gr.;
- chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
- bell pepper – 0.5 pcs.;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste.
Cooking stages.
Send the eggs to boil. Also put water on the squid, be sure to salt it.
When the water boils, put the squid in there - you need to buy peeled ones or pre-clean them yourself. Wait just a minute and take out the squid. Set them aside to cool.
Wash and wipe the pepper, remove the seeds and stem. Cut into small cubes.
Peel and finely chop the boiled eggs. Slice the cooled squid.
Rub the cheese through a coarse grater. Combine all the products, add salt, season with mayonnaise and mix.
"Sea Freshness"
The delicate and light taste of this salad will not leave anyone indifferent.
Yogurt can be replaced with sour cream or mayonnaise.
For the “sea” dish you will need:
- Squid carcasses – 300-350 g;
- Crab sticks – 180-200 g;
- Fresh cucumbers – 150-200 g;
- Multi-colored bell peppers – 200 g;
- Fresh chicken eggs – 4 pcs;
- Natural unsweetened yoghurt – 120 g;
- Fresh dill – 10-20 g;
- Garlic powder – 5 g;
- Salt;
- Additionally for cooking squid - bay leaf, black and allspice peas, cloves, a slice of lemon.
Let's start preparing the salad with squid, egg and fresh cucumber:
- Defrost the shellfish, scald them with boiling water and peel them;
- Boil water for cooking squid with salt, lemon and spices, lower the carcasses into boiling water one at a time for a minute;
- Cool the seafood and cut it into rings;
- Hard-boil the eggs, cool well, peel and cut into strips;
- Peel the bell peppers from the middle and chop them together with the cucumbers into long strips;
- If the crab sticks are frozen, they need to be thawed, then cut them into “spirals”;
- Wash the dill in water and soda, dry and finely chop;
- For the sauce, mix yogurt, chopped dill, garlic powder, and salt to taste;
- Combine all salad ingredients, add salt;
- Top with sauce before serving.

Simple spicy squid salad with egg and pickled cucumbers
This is a somewhat unusual salad, since pickled cucumbers are rarely added to squid, and very in vain. The taste is bright, interesting and original. The salad is easy to prepare - you only need the most common ingredients and very little time.
There is no need to add salt to this squid salad, since the pickled cucumbers are already salted. Try to remove them from the jar in advance so that the liquid drains and the cucumbers do not release too much juice.
You will need:
- squid carcass – 2 pcs.;
- chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
- pickled cucumbers – 3 pcs.;
- dill;
- mayonnaise for dressing.
Cooking stages.
Set the eggs to boil, and take care of the squid yourself. If they are already peeled, then put water on the stove to boil the seafood.
If the squid needs to be cleaned, first remove the insides and chitinous plate, and then lift and remove the film.
When the water boils, salt it and immerse the squid in it. After 2-3 minutes they can be taken out.
Cut the cucumbers into strips and place in a salad bowl.
Cut the cooled squid into strips and add to the cucumbers. Chop the pre-washed greens and add to the squid and cucumbers.
Peel the boiled, cooled eggs and grate them on a coarse grater. Add to salad.
Season all products with mayonnaise and mix.

You can cut off the skin of the cucumber in advance or leave it as is - it all depends on personal preference. Please note: there is no need to cook the squid here. They will be cooked thanks to triple heat treatment with boiling water. This way, you won't be able to overcook them, and the squid will turn out very tender.

- squid – 1 kg;
- chicken egg – 5 pcs.;
- fresh cucumber – 1 pc.;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste;
- mayonnaise for dressing.
Cooking stages.
Send the eggs to boil. At this time you can do squid.
First remove all the insides. Then pour boiling water over the carcasses, leave for a minute and scrape off the skin, remove the chitinous plate.

Transfer the squid to another pan and add boiling water again. Leave it for a minute. Drain and repeat again.
Wash and wipe the cucumber, cut into cubes. Also chop the eggs. Cut the squid into strips.
Combine all the ingredients together, add salt and pepper as desired and season the salad with mayonnaise. Stir.

Korean squid salad with carrots
This dish can be made in two versions - with fresh carrots and with ready-made Korean ones. I tried making two versions and they both taste very different. They are prepared in the same way as the beloved Korean liver salad, but only with seafood. The result is finger-licking delicious!
- 1 kg squid;
- 700 gr. carrots;
- 1 onion;
- 1 large bell pepper;
- 6 cloves of garlic;
- 5 tbsp. l. raises oils;
- 5-6 tbsp. l. vinegar 9%;
- 5-6 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
- 1 tsp. Sahara;
- 1 tsp. dried paprika;
- 1-2 tsp. sesame seeds;
- salt, pepper, other spices as desired.
We grate fresh carrots on a Korean grater with thin long noodles. Salt and mix.
Cut the bell pepper into long strips and add it to the carrots.
Cut the boiled squid into thin rings.
Cut the onion into thin half rings and lightly knead it with your hands to make it softer and more tender. Together with the squid we add it to the other ingredients.
Add garlic passed through a press. DO NOT MIX the salad!!!
Pour all the spices you want to add on top of the garlic.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan until lightly smoking. It should be very hot.
Pour hot oil directly onto the spices. Do this carefully and in a thin stream, so that the oil only gets on the spices.
Now stir the salad quickly so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Now add sugar, vinegar and soy sauce.
In a dry frying pan, fry the sesame seeds until golden brown.
Once again, mix everything thoroughly and be sure to taste it. If something is missing, we add it.
Place the salad in a heap on a plate and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
If desired, decorate with greenery. It turns out so delicious, you'll just lick your fingers! Be sure to prepare this dish for the New Year's table, and your guests will be absolutely delighted.
