Decorating the table

If you want to cheer up all the guests and the hero of the occasion, think about how to decorate the children's table and room. The simplest idea is to inflate several dozen colorful balloons and fill them with helium. Let the balls fly to the ceiling! You can tie a balloon to each chair or attach boxes with cute surprises for guests to the balloons.

For serving, use a disposable tablecloth - children will be children! Or you can cover the table with a white tablecloth, placing markers next to the cutlery so that the children can draw.

A fruit bowl can be made from watermelon, and mini-vases can be made from orange halves. Spoons and forks with decorative bows on the handles look fun and original, but it’s up to you to decide which plates to choose - from a home sideboard or disposable ones. If you choose the latter option, buy festive tableware specifically for your child's birthday party. Decorating a children's sweet table should not be too complicated, because for children the main thing is not food, but fun!

Fruit marmalade for the New Year's table

The closer to the end of the list, the easier the cooking process. But marmalade, despite its simplicity, will decorate the festive “sweet table” with rich colors and unexpected shapes. These forms, by the way, will be invented by the hostess herself.

To diversify the citrus menu of the “sweet table”, marmalade is prepared from defrosted cherries and black currants. But you can show your imagination and make real colors out of popular juicy fruits. For example, marmalade made from orange tangerines, green kiwis and yellow pineapples. This will cheer up both children and adults.

Ingredients:

  • cherries (pitted) – 400 g;
  • black currant – 100 g;
  • agar-agar – 2.5 tsp;
  • sugar – 150 g.

Preparing marmalade:

1. Grind cherries and currants into puree.

2. Add sugar to the fruit. Transfer the mixture into a metal bowl.

3. Place on low heat and reheat. Do not bring to a boil.

4. Add agar-agar and stir. Keep on fire for another 5 minutes. Then remove from heat and leave to cool.

5. Pour into silicone molds of any kind. Place the jelly in the refrigerator.

The hardening time of the marmalade depends on the thickness of the molds used. It takes half an hour or more.

Cake pops for every taste

Bright festive cakes on sticks will not go unnoticed at a children's party. As a rule, children instantly eat every last crumb, even if there is something inside that they would not otherwise eat, such as healthy nuts or dried fruit. What if you make cake pops in the shape of a potato cake? This is a great idea for a kids menu!

For the cake pops we will need the following ingredients:

  • 250 g chocolate biscuits
  • 150 cream cheese or cream cheese

For the glaze we take:

  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 20 ml odorless vegetable oil

For the sugar topping:

  • 200 g sugar
  • liquid pink dye - by eye
  • 25 cake pop sticks

Grind the cookies in a blender until crumbly, mix with cheese and grind in the blender again. Place the mixture in the refrigerator while you make the glaze from melted chocolate, vegetable oil and a drop of pink coloring. But you should take care of pink sugar in advance. To do this, mix sugar with a small amount of dye in a plastic bag, tie the bag and mix well, kneading it with your hands.

Roll the balls, dip the sticks at one end in chocolate, insert them into the cake pops and keep them in the freezer for 10 minutes - this is important so that the sticks do not jump out of the cakes. Now dip the sticks in chocolate and sprinkle with pink sugar. Place the cake pops in a glass and refrigerate until completely set. These delicious treats, which will brighten up any sweets table, are usually taken home, so make more!

Banana ice cream is a necessary dessert for the “sweet table”

It's hard to believe that ice cream is so easy to make. All you need is bananas and a blender. Simply cut the peeled bananas and place them in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

After the specified time, even a child will prepare this delicious dessert. After all, frozen bananas will remain immersed in a blender and blended until puree (cream).

Tips for making ice cream:

1. For freezing, it is customary to take 1 banana per person. Usually this amount is sufficient.

2. You can add some other frozen fruits to bananas. The approximate amount should be 10 to 1, respectively.

3. Crushed nuts, chocolate, cocoa, honey, dates, coconut flakes and coconut milk are also added to ice cream. With each such experiment, ice cream comes out with a new original taste.

If you are going to make a cake, it should be bright and unusual. The “Unicorn” dessert is perfect for decorating a sweet table for children - it is both tasty and beautiful. At the very least, it’s impossible to pass by and not try. But to design it you will need a little imagination.

For the biscuit, prepare the following ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 160 g flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

For cream:

  • 200 g sour cream 25% fat
  • 200 g condensed milk
  • a pinch of vanilla sugar

To cover:

  • 300 g soft cream cheese
  • 100 g butter
  • 80 g powdered sugar

Braid cream:

  • 200 g butter
  • 250 g condensed milk
  • food colorings

For decoration:

  • mastic - as much as needed
  • kandurin powder

Beat the eggs and sugar well until foamy. Sift the flour, mix with baking powder and combine with the egg mixture. Knead the dough, let it stand for a while and pour into a greased pan. Bake the sponge cake for half an hour at 180°C, cool and cut into 2-3 layers - depending on how the sponge cake has risen.

Beat the sour cream in a blender, then gradually add condensed milk and vanilla to it. The cream should be thick and homogeneous. Grease the cakes.

Prepare cream cheese for coating. To do this, beat the butter and, without stopping whipping, add powdered sugar to it in small portions, and then cream cheese. Keep the cream cheese in the refrigerator for half an hour and you will see that it will become denser and thicker.

Cover the cake with the resulting cream cheese and also put it in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, prepare buttercream for decoration by whipping condensed milk with soft butter. Divide the cream into separate bowls and add a little food coloring to each, and in a separate bowl mix a little cream with golden kandurin. Place the cream in the refrigerator, when it hardens, fill a pastry bag designed for creams of different colors with it. If you don't have such a kitchen device, put the cream in a bag in multi-colored layers, then a multi-colored rainbow will be squeezed out.

Draw a spectacular mane on the cake, sculpt a horn and ears from fondant, cover with golden powder and put the dessert in the refrigerator overnight so that it soaks well. When the cake hits the children's table, it will immediately be taken apart piece by piece!

Banana parfait

Another amazing treat, your guests will definitely like it and will become a real decoration for the holiday table. In addition, you will need very few ingredients to prepare it. So, we need:

  • Bananas – 3 pcs. It’s better to take ripe ones rather than green ones.
  • Cottage cheese – 300 g. If you want a more dietary option, then take low-fat.
  • Sour cream – 1.5 cups. It's better to take it fatter.
  • Cinnamon, powdered sugar. Optional.

The dessert is prepared very quickly and does not require special culinary skills:

  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a blender. Place in special molds. Place in the refrigerator.

    To prepare cookies, take:

    • 125 ml kefir
    • 60 g butter
    • 50 g sugar
    • 80 g flour
    • salt and soda - a pinch

    To assemble the baskets and decorate we will need:

    • shortbread tartlets - 10 pieces
    • boiled condensed milk - 1-2 cans
    • ready-made chocolate icing in a tube
    • confectionery sprinkle balls

    First make the little monkey face cookies. Mix sugar with kefir, add salt and grated butter. Stir and combine the mixture with flour mixed with soda. Knead the soft dough, form into cakes of different sizes and bake the cookies at 180°C until they are lightly browned.

    Ice cream is the most favorite children's treat. What if you make a cake out of it? Then you will definitely be able to please your beloved child with an unusual birthday dessert (pictured).

    You don’t need a lot of ingredients, and cooking won’t take a long time. You need:

    • Cakes – 2 pcs., you can make it yourself or buy ready-made ones in the store.
    • Ice cream – 500 g. It is best to take regular ice cream, without additives.
    • Sugar – 1 glass.
    • Coffee – 1 cup. It is needed to soak the cakes; in principle, you can use any syrup, it all depends on your preferences.
    • Eggs – 5 pcs.
    • Vanillin - a sachet. Taste.
    • Starch – 1 tsp.

    Then, following all the stages of preparation, we create our masterpiece cake.

  • We thoroughly soak the biscuit cakes in coffee (so that they become softer and more aromatic). Place ice cream on top. And wrap it in a biscuit (we try to do this as carefully as possible so that the cake does not break). Place the cake in the freezer.
  • Let's start preparing the cream. Mix the egg whites with sugar and, using a whisk, beat thoroughly. You should get a fluffy foam.
  • Grease the cake with cream and place it briefly, about 5 minutes, in a preheated oven. We set the temperature to 250 degrees.
  • Cool the finished cake a little and serve. Your birthday boy will be delighted with such a wonderful gift!
  • Pink piggy cupcakes

    A beautiful children's table will be even more elegant with spectacular cupcakes in the shape of funny pigs. Bake small cupcakes yourself, and you can make pigs from fluffy creamy marshmallows, which are sold in stores.

    For cupcakes you will need:

    • 3 eggs
    • 100 g butter
    • 200 g sugar
    • 200 g flour
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • vanillin packet

    For decoration let's take:

    • cream marshmallows - 1 jar
    • pink marshmallows
    • multi-colored confectionery sprinkles
    • red confectionery icing in a tube

    Beat the butter with a mixer until it turns white, and then gradually add regular and vanilla sugar - in small portions. Next, add the eggs one at a time, without stopping beating. Mix the sifted flour with baking powder and also add to the dough in small portions. Insert special paper liners into the cupcake tin and fill them three-quarters full with batter. Bake the cupcakes for 15–20 minutes at 180°C, checking their readiness with a wooden stick.

    Cool the cupcakes and top them with soft marshmallows. Make the nose and ears from marshmallows, and the eyes, nostrils and other details from confectionery sprinkles. Draw a mouth with red icing, squeezing it out of the tube.

    These original treats will be a worthy table decoration for a children's party. Little sweet tooths will be pleasantly surprised!

    A wonderful dessert for the “sweet table” - sponge cake “Orange Paradise”

    The Lenten version of the sponge cake mentally transports you to the hot tropics. Where bananas grow on plantations and oranges hang on tree branches. This is due to the exotic aroma of the fruits used to prepare it.

    The biscuit dough is mixed using the pulp of a ripe banana with the addition of orange juice and zest. The cream is prepared from orange juice with the addition of semolina. Decorating the cake with orange and kiwi slices completes this extraordinary dessert.

    But it’s not only fruit that makes this sponge cake festive. Adding nuts, cinnamon and ginger to the dough turns baking into a real New Year's dish. And the so-called “sweet table” will look great when you serve this dish.

    Ingredients:

    For the test:

    • flour – 160 g;
    • baking soda – 0.5 tsp;
    • baking powder – 1 tsp;
    • sugar – 100 g;
    • banana (without peel) – 145 g;
    • vegetable oil – 45 g;
    • orange (freshly squeezed) juice – 125 ml;
    • cinnamon – 0.5 tsp;
    • ginger – 2 g (pinch);
    • walnuts – 50 g;
    • zest of half a medium orange.

    For cream:

    • orange (freshly squeezed) juice – 500 ml;
    • sugar – 85 – 100 g;
    • semolina – 40 – 50 g;
    • orange (pulp) – 1 pc.;
    • kiwi (pulp) – 1 pc.

    Step-by-step cooking instructions:

    1. Peeled ripe banana, cut or simply break. Place in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and butter to it. Mash the mixture until pureed.

    2. Add orange zest (without white pulp) and juice to the mixture. Stir.

    3. Mix soda, flour, baking powder and spices. Combine dry and liquid mixtures. Stir the mixture until smooth.

    4. Grind walnuts and add to the dough.

    5. Pour the finished mixture into the mold. Bake the dough in the oven at 170 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.

    6. After oven, let the biscuit cool. Cut the cooled cake into 2 parts.

    7. To prepare the cream, pour the juice into the pan and add sugar. Heat the mixture over low heat. Add the specified amount of semolina. Cook the mixture until the cereal is ready. Let the cream cool.

    8. Coat the bottom layer of the sponge cake with a thick layer of cream. Add kiwi and orange pulp. Top with the second one and repeat the sequence. Don't forget to coat the edges and sides.

    9. Sprinkle the top of the cake with nuts or coconut flakes if desired.

    10. Place the finished sponge cake to soak and harden in the refrigerator.

    The weight and quantity of ingredients for the dough are calculated for a baking dish with a diameter of 18 - 20 cm. In this case, the height of the sponge cake is 5 - 6 cm. It is cut into 2 layers.

    If you want to get a larger cake, you need to proportionally increase the number of baked portions.

    Coconut miracle

    Agree that homemade sweets are much tastier than store-bought ones, especially if you make them with cream filling and coconut sprinkles. The taste of these sweets will be very delicate, and such a dessert will be appreciated not only by the friends of the birthday boy, but also by their parents. Among the treats for a child’s birthday, such sweets will definitely not get lost!

    To prepare, take:

    • 250 g mascarpone
    • 150 g condensed milk
    • 100 g white chocolate
    • almonds - as many as you want
    • 100 g coconut flakes
    • 25 ml milk
    • 40 g waffles

    Melt the chocolate mixed with milk in a water bath. Separately, beat the mascarpone with condensed milk and combine with chocolate, and then beat well again with a mixer. When the mass becomes homogeneous, put it in the refrigerator to harden, and at this time grind the waffles in a blender. Pour the wafer crumbs into the frozen cheese cream, form into balls and place the almonds inside. Roll the candies in coconut flakes and cool them.

    It will be impossible to tear little sweet tooths away from this delicacy, so this dessert must be on the children's holiday table!

    Unusual and tasty

    Don’t forget that a beautiful and unusual dessert design for a child’s birthday is one of the conditions for a successful holiday. We invite you to decorate the cake with a drawing of your favorite character (from the cartoon) of the hero of the occasion. You can draw it on the finished dessert yourself.     Pink marshmallow

    Tender and airy marshmallows will definitely appeal to all children, especially if it has a refreshing raspberry flavor and a beautiful bright color. Pink marshmallows look so appetizing that they just beg to be put into your mouth, especially since they are so easy to prepare. They will be a great addition to a children's sweet table!

    Let's take the following ingredients:

    • 300 g sugar
    • 30 g gelatin
    • 200 g maple syrup
    • 250 g raspberries
    • 70 ml water
    • 100 g powdered sugar
    • 40 g corn starch

    Soak the gelatin in water and grind the raspberries in a blender. Place half the syrup, raspberries and all the sugar in a separate bowl, bring this mixture to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove the mass from the heat and add the swollen gelatin to it. Stir until it is completely dissolved. Beat the other half of the raspberries and maple syrup in a blender, and then pour the hot raspberry mixture with gelatin into it, continuing to beat. When the marshmallow mass becomes warm and dense, place it in a rectangular shape covered with film and leave in the refrigerator for several hours.

    Mix the powdered sugar with cornstarch, carefully remove the marshmallows from the mold, remove the film, sprinkle with the sugar-corn mixture, cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar again.

    Certainly not a single children's holiday table would be complete without these sweets; they melt in your mouth and make the kids even happier!

    Coffee panna cotta

    This dessert will be appreciated by true coffee lovers. It turns out unusually tender, simply melting in your mouth. We think that if your mother receives such a dessert for her birthday (detailed recipe with photo below), she is guaranteed to be happy. So, we will need:

    • Cream – 500 ml. The higher the fat content, the tastier it is.
    • Gelatin - sachet.
    • Coffee - 2 tsp. You can cook it in a Turk or use regular instant.
    • Sugar – 0.5 cups.
    • Chocolate. It is better to use milk or bitter with cocoa.

    Then:

  • Prepare gelatin. The instructions describe everything in great detail; we carefully follow the sequence.
  • Pour boiling water over the coffee and let it brew for a while. At this time, mix the cream well with sugar and heat in a water bath. Add chocolate (you can also melt it in advance). Remove the mixture from the heat and stir.
  • Add coffee and gelatin. Pour the mixture into special molds and put it in the refrigerator to freeze. A little secret: place the mold with panna cotta under hot water, then turn it over onto a plate. A delicious treat is ready!
