Pumpkin porridge with millet in a slow cooker

Light food that is perfect for a morning snack or a light dinner that will not put pressure on the stomach before bed.
Ingredients:

  • 750 gr. - pumpkin pulp;
  • 100 gr. - millet cereal;
  • 2 tbsp. - milk;
  • 2 tbsp. l. - sugar;
  • 100 gr. - berries (raspberries, currants, gooseberries);
  • 75 gr. - butter.

Preparation:

  1. 1. First, you need to peel the pumpkin and rinse it. Be sure to remove absolutely all the seeds, however, it is not recommended to throw them away. By themselves, fried, they are a pleasant delicacy that will always help you quickly get rid of helminthiasis. After cleaning, you should grind its pulp, preferably in a blender. If you do this through a meat grinder, you will have to repeat the procedure 3-4 times. Some people grind it on a grater, but then you have to put up with lumps.
  2. Carefully place the ground pumpkin pulp at the bottom of the bowl of your kitchen appliance and add butter there. Then set the “casserole” option and run it for 15 minutes (if you exclude fats, the food will turn out to be dietary).
  3. Carefully lift the lid, otherwise you will get burned by the steam and pour sugar into it in an even layer, and then millet. It is advisable to take peeled cereals, which are sold in small bags. However, if you still took the usual one, you will have to work hard. Firstly, it needs to be thoroughly sorted out of debris and washed. Secondly, soak in a warm solution with salt for about 10-15 minutes to remove the bitterness.
  4. Next, pour in the milk and mix slowly with a special spatula. Select the “milk” mode and start it for 45 minutes. After the time has passed, make sure that the readiness suits you; if not, just add milk and extend the cooking, on “heating”, but no more than 20-30 minutes. If it is too liquid, then you need to continue in the same way without changing anything.
  5. Decorate with fresh berries on a plate and enjoy the delicate relish.

Rice porridge with milk in a slow cooker recipe without escaped milk

Many people experience this unpleasant phenomenon.
In principle, almost every device has a special valve, but in reality it does not always work. However, this method will allow you to forget about such annoying cases. Ingredients:

  • 600 grams - rice;
  • 2 glasses - milk;
  • 1 glass - water;
  • 30 grams - sugar;
  • 1 tsp. - salt;
  • 1 tbsp. l. - oil;
  • 1 handful - raisins.

Preparation:

  1. Wash thoroughly under running water, removing all excess debris. Otherwise, it may affect the aroma of the finished dish. Don’t be too lazy to do this up to 10 times in a row, preferably through a colander.
  2. Be sure to let it dry on its own before cooking. During this same period, you can prepare a special bowl.
  3. Pour it inside, dilute the milk with water and add it to the cereal. It must be settled and boiled. Preferably warm. It is the addition of liquid that prevents our milk mass from escaping. This is the secret of our leadership and distinguishes it from many others of its kind. Hundreds of little tricks like these make up the experience of a professional home cook.
  4. Salt and add sugar. Add oil. However, remember that the calorie content of the dish depends on this. Grains already contain quite a lot of calories. And if you overdo it with glucose and oil, it can have a rather negative effect on your figure.
  5. Close the lid and turn on the “milk” or “rice” mode. In the first case we set 45 minutes, in the second 30.
  6. Let the mixture cool a little and brew, and then start it on a “warm-up”, but not for long, 10 minutes is enough.
  7. Stir in raisins. Everything is ready, you can serve it on the table. However, it is better to cook at once. Because the mass sticks together and becomes too thick.

Buckwheat porridge in a slow cooker recipe with meat for diet

Since buckwheat is very high in calories, many people have to give it up so as not to gain extra pounds.
But there are ways to cook it in such a way that it does not affect the weight. Ingredients:

  • 700 grams - buckwheat;
  • 2 glasses - water;
  • 10 grams - salt;
  • 5 tablespoons - vegetable oil (preferably olive oil).
  • 300 grams - meat (preferably chicken)

Preparation:

  1. First, we need to sort out the cereal, as in previous tutorials. At the same time, you can boil the chicken in a lean manner. To do this, we take a very large pan and fill it to the top. Cook over low heat, covered tightly with a lid, for about two hours. During this period, most of the fat turns into broth, which we then drain.
  2. Pour half of the cereal into the bowl, then lay out the meat and pour out the second part. It turns out to be a kind of “sandwich”. Pour vegetable fat on top and select the “multi-cook” item on the panel.
  3. Close the lid, turn on and wait 20-30 minutes. It all depends on your preferences. If you like it to crunch a little on your teeth and crumble easily on a plate, you can leave it for 15 minutes. And after 25 it will be a boiled and sticky homogeneous mass. The second option is preferable, because we are preparing dietary buckwheat.
  4. We take everything out, mix, make sure it is ready and serve. Since we used olive fat, logically, lettuce leaves would be the best garnish.

Primarily due to the nutritional value and unpretentiousness of the plant to climate and care. The situation changed by the Middle Ages, when a dish of peas and pork was often served on the table of Louis XIV, King of France. Need I say that with a multicooker it will never run away, burn, or be undercooked? It will always be tasty, fluffy, tender. In addition, it will significantly save your time. For example, food can be dropped off at six or seven o'clock. Activate delayed start and go get some sleep. So that when you get up with your family, you can also enjoy a hot breakfast)

Helpful advice:

To get porridge in the morning without having to get up earlier, cook it in advance in the evening. Just turn on the program and go to bed. The multicooker will cook itself, and then switch to heating mode until the morning. This method is good because it can be used all year round, without fear that if the start is delayed, the milk will sour overnight. In addition, for many cereals it is very useful to simmer in a warm place for some time - they become even more tasty from this.

Healthy Peas Recipe

If you cook it in the usual way, you will lose a very large percentage of vitamins and microelements, which is why we decided to teach you how to cook correctly.

Ingredients:

  • 600 gr. - dried peas;
  • 50 gr. - butter fat;
  • 1 tbsp. l. - salt.

Preparation:

  1. Soak the washed grains overnight in cold water. If this is not possible, you need to soak it for at least 4-6 hours, otherwise it will come out very hard. In addition, the duration of heat treatment will increase by 3-4 times, and it will lose all its wonderful substances.
  2. Wash it again, this time thoroughly, the best thing for this is a colander and a warm, pouring stream from the tap. And then coat the walls of the bowl with fat.
  3. Pour it into the bowl and fill it so that it protrudes slightly above its level, add salt. You set the “quenching” option on the device; you need to select a period of at least 90 minutes. The future dish will be exposed to a low temperature and therefore all the elements that are valuable to us will remain in place. You launch it.
  4. After the allotted time, a signal will sound, but we are in no hurry to open the lid. First, we will wait about five minutes for the steam to neutralize. In this way, we again prevent a variety of substances from leaving our food. Then we take out the peas and place them on plates as a side dish. Meat goes well with it, especially veal. Gourmets do not recommend fish with it, it sets off the aftertaste.

My family has a very positive attitude towards milk porridges | Previously, I cooked milk porridge only on weekends, and on weekdays - if I had time, but this did not happen often

But with the advent of a multicooker, I’m trying to catch up and cook milk porridge more often | You can get up early in the morning, set the desired routine and go on to sleep | But the multicooker has an excellent “delayed start” mode, with which you can cook porridge without getting up early in the morning and without disturbing your sweet sleep

To do this, you will need in the evening before going to bed, load what you need to prepare porridge into the multicooker, select the “porridge” mode (40 minutes) and switch to delayed start

In this mode, you need to specify the time after how many hours the multicooker will start working | But taking into account that there is time left for heating, about 30 minutes. For example, we get up at 7 am and go to bed at 11 pm. So I indicate the time as 7 o'clock. That is, after 7 hours the multicooker will turn on (at 6 am) and finish at 6.40 am. And the remaining time is about 30-40 minutes, it will remain heated, the porridge will steam well and you can immediately have breakfast with it.

Today, in a slow cooker , on a delayed start, I prepared rice porridge with milk .

To prepare milk rice porridge we will need:

  • rice - 1 multi-cup,
  • store-bought milk - 3 multi-cups,
  • water - 4 multi-cups,
  • sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons,
  • salt - 1/4 teaspoon,
  • drain little - a small piece.

how to cook milk rice porridge with milk in a slow cooker

In the “delayed start” mode, you can prepare not only milk porridges, but also other dishes. We will talk about them in other articles.

According to this recipe, with this amount of water, you can prepare buckwheat milk porridge, millet

and barley. I don’t recommend increasing the portion of food, because the porridge will simply “run away.” For my family, this portion is enough to have a good breakfast (each person gets a portioned bowl of porridge).

So, rinse the rice exclusively in cold water, which does not apply to other types of porridges. You can grease the multicooker bowl with a piece of plum. oils But I only do this when I cook oatmeal with milk in a slow cooker. I pour the washed rice into a bowl, fill it with water and milk. I add sugar and be sure to add sea salt. It makes all milk porridges taste better. Even when I make ice cream, I also add salt. Do you try it and then write how it turned out? It will be delicious, I assure you.

Well, all that remains is to add the drain. oil. Stir, close the lid and set the desired mode and time as I described above. I hope I made it clear. Maybe someone is not clear, write, I will answer all questions with pleasure.

In the morning, before breakfast, rice porridge with milk , cooked in a slow cooker on a delayed start , looks very appetizing. Steamed and very tasty. Milk rice porridge can be served with your favorite jam or jam. This time I had pumpkin jam that I made the other day.

Bon appetit and don’t miss this important meal for our body, like breakfast!

Secrets of cooking peas

There are also a few little secrets that will make it much richer.
It is advisable to add salt at the end, as it reduces overcooking. However, in the case of our previous leadership, this only worked to our advantage. However, again, this option is not suitable for the previous recommendation. The proportion of liquid depends on whether you are going to store the dish or consume it all at once. In the first case, one to two will do, in the second, two to three. After all, the product thickens over time. Add vegetables to the finished product. In particular, bell peppers, Korean carrots and cheese salad with garlic will harmonize with it. Well, and some more excellent guides for simple and unobtrusive cooking.

A multicooker is an ideal device for cooking milk porridge. Judge for yourself: porridge in a slow cooker does not run away, does not burn, does not cool down and is always ready at the right time. This is especially important for those mothers who try to feed their household a hot breakfast. Milk porridge in this regard is an excellent breakfast option for children, because it is a classic, and the classics, as we know, are eternal.

Milk porridge in a multicooker is easy to prepare, even if the multicooker does not have a special mode. The “Stewing”, “Soup” or “Simmering” modes are suitable for this. Resourceful cooks also offer this method: place a heat-resistant container in the multicooker bowl, put all the ingredients for the porridge in it, pour water into the bowl to ⅔ of the container’s height and set the “Stew” mode (or select the “multi-cooker” function and set the temperature to no higher than 100° C) - you will get porridge cooked in a water bath. And for those who want to cook porridge without leaving the pan, in the old fashioned way, we can recommend the “Steam” mode - the milk in this mode boils in the same way as on the stove.

Manufacturers of multicookers swear that milk does not escape when cooking porridge. He runs away, and how! To prevent a similar incident from happening to your porridge, grease the edges of the bowl with butter before putting the food into it. Poorly washed cereal often contributes to milk boiling through the valve. Be sure to rinse the cereal thoroughly before cooking! Rinse the cereal in several waters until the water becomes clear. After washing, millet cereals must be additionally scalded with boiling water to remove the characteristic bitterness. Semolina and oatmeal, of course, do not need to be washed. Another reason your porridge may leak is whole milk. Sometimes it is enough to dilute the milk a little with water to stop attempts to escape.

Another question that is often of interest to potential buyers of multicookers is why the milk does not sour when milk porridge is cooked on a timer (say, overnight)? Let's be honest, this kind of embarrassment happens. But the issue here is the quality of the milk. If you decide to treat your family to milk porridge for breakfast by cooking it on a delayed start, be sure to use ultra-pasteurized milk. Concentrated milk from cans will not let you down, just don’t forget to dilute it with boiled water. Powdered milk, diluted according to the instructions, is also perfect for cooking porridge in delayed start mode. Milk with a short shelf life is certainly healthier, but that is why it is not suitable for cooking porridge in this mode - the bacteria remaining in the milk after gentle pasteurization regularly do their job and ferment the milk in a few hours. But even in this case, Russian owners of multicookers have surpassed the whole world in terms of invention. Just think how simple it is: pour pasteurized milk into ice cube trays and freeze, and then just put some of the milk in the form of ice in the bowl, and the milk will definitely not curdle until the morning! The same can be done with village whole milk by boiling it first.

The milk may also curdle due to the addition of dried fruits to the bowl. In order to avoid milk souring, place thoroughly washed and chopped dried fruits not in the bowl with the rest of the products, but in the steamer basket - during cooking they will boil perfectly, and they can be added to the porridge before serving.

Sometimes the cause of milk curdling can be a cup that is not washed thoroughly enough. If you prepared a dish with a pronounced sour taste in a slow cooker before porridge (meat in tomato sauce or hodgepodge, for example), be sure to wash the bowl with a sponge and laundry soap, rinse and pour boiling water over it. Or pour some water into the bowl, close the lid and set the “Steam” mode for 3-4 minutes. After scalding, dry the bowl with a towel. If milk porridge is prepared quite often in your family, it makes sense to buy an additional bowl and cook porridge only in it.

There are not many recipes for milk porridge. They differ only in the type of cereal and the amount of milk: some like it thicker, while others prefer thin porridge with cereal boiled to death - here, focus on the tastes of your household. “Culinary Eden” offers you several recipes for milk porridges that you can use.

Acute is harmful to health

However, take into account the nuance that spicy food, with garlic, chili, and other seasonings, can negatively affect the condition of your stomach. To prevent this from happening, we advise alternating it with sweet semolina, which envelops the stomach and prevents corrosive substances from penetrating. Thus, you completely neutralize the harmful effects of spicy food and can enjoy it every day. Best option:

  • semolina in the morning;
  • neutral food for lunch;
  • spicy in the evening.

And don’t forget that the more you eat, the more you need to move. Since any diet, even a very promising one, will bring you nothing if you just sit still. Start your morning with exercise and end with at least a game of table tennis. Go jogging. After all, it not only burns excess calories that accumulate over time, even with proper nutrition, but also normalizes your cardiovascular system. In the end, you will even live longer if you run at least 300-400 meters every morning.

How to cook milk porridge in a slow cooker without the Milk Porridge mode

Oh, what progress has come! Not only can the work of modern housewives be made easier with the help of various food processors, microwave ovens, dishwashers, but no, they also came up with a multicooker! Everything is elementary simple - put in some groceries, set a routine - and go to sleep. And the next morning you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast, which will be ready and hot by this time. Porridges turn out especially delicious in a slow cooker. Thanks to this miracle machine, you now don’t have to worry about preparing porridge - the milk doesn’t “run away” and the porridge doesn’t burn. Of course, everything is fine only if you follow the technology. In a slow cooker you can prepare porridge of your choice - be it oatmeal, rice, buckwheat, millet, milk or meat broth. The main thing is to set the time and heating - and then you will wake up not from the alarm clock with the thought that you need to prepare breakfast, but from the appetizing aroma of freshly prepared porridge. Often, porridges in a multicooker are prepared using the “Milk porridge” mode, as for example in the recipe for barley milk porridge in a multicooker. But if your multicooker model does not have such a function, do not despair - no less tasty porridge is obtained in the Stew mode.
You should not use the usual porridge mode, in which the liquid may boil strongly, and, as for milk porridges, boiling may occur, which is undesirable for a multicooker. Number of servings:

Add sugar and salt to taste. 2. Set the Stewing mode for 40 minutes, after which we leave the porridge on Heat for another 20 minutes. 3. Barley porridge with garlic in a slow cooker

At first glance it’s a strange combination, but in fact it’s really tasty, and most importantly – unusual.
After all, the same combinations become boring. You always want to try something new. And you don’t have to go to any exotic restaurant for this. Ingredients:

  • 300 grams - barley;
  • 2 tbsp. - water;
  • 3 cloves - garlic;
  • 2 tbsp. l. - sunflower oil;

Preparation:

  1. We wash the grains as usual (5-10 times). We use flow pressure from a hot tap and a colander;
  2. 2. Coat the walls of the bowl with fat, and then add half the grains. Spread the garlic evenly, be sure to press it using a garlic press. And on top the rest of the barley.
  3. Fill everything with water. We are looking for the “multi-cook” mode and start it for 35 minutes.
  4. After the time has passed, we are not in a hurry to open it, you can let it sit for another 10 minutes, then the garlic will not be sharp and bitter, but will become pleasant.
  5. Place on plates, add lettuce and meat and serve.

Barley groats are suitable primarily for those who watch their figure and at the same time play sports or do physical work. With a very low calorie content - approximately 300 units per 100 grams, it manages to remain filling. A huge advantage is that it is not polished before crushing, which means all the positive elements contained in the “shell” remain intact. We will not list them, there are really a lot of them. And the whole point is that the shell does not affect the other qualities at all, leaving it pleasant and aromatic.
