Casserole in a slow cooker with semolina

Cottage cheese casserole in the Redmond multicooker is tender, airy and tasty. Even the most picky kids who don’t like cottage cheese gobble it up on both cheeks and ask for more. The reason for this is obvious - the baked goods turn out fluffy, juicy and aromatic. And preparing the casserole is quite simple, because a wonderful technique helps you with this - the REDMOND RMC-РМ4506 multicooker-pressure cooker.

A truly delicious casserole is made from fresh cottage cheese. Fat content is not decisive here. Those who are on a diet - use a low-fat product, those who like fatter - high-fat cottage cheese, and in my opinion - the most delicious casserole is made from cottage cheese with 8-10% fat content.

To further improve the taste, add sour cream to the casserole.

So, put the cottage cheese in a deep container, add sour cream and milk to it.

Using a mixer, mix until you get an even, smooth mass.

In a separate container, combine eggs, granulated sugar and vanilla sugar.

If you like sweet baked goods, add sugar to 1 tbsp. l. more, since with the amount indicated in the list of ingredients, the casserole will be only moderately sweet, which may seem insufficient.

Beat the egg mixture using a mixer (the mass should double in volume). It is well-beaten eggs that will give the future casserole fluffiness and airiness.

Next, pour the egg mixture into the curd mass, add semolina and mix gently with a spoon.

Semolina will help keep the finished dish in shape and not fall apart. I advise you to use semolina, and not flour, as suggested in some recipes, since flour can make the casserole too dense and tough. You can also use semolina porridge; it is also perfect for casseroles.

As a result, the casserole preparation should turn out like liquid sour cream.

If desired, add raisins or other dried fruits, previously soaked in hot water, to the curd mass.

Grease the bottom of the multicooker bowl with a piece of butter and pour the curd mixture into it.

The cottage cheese casserole in the Redmond multicooker is baked in the “Bake/Bake” mode for 30 minutes. When baking, the valve must be in the “Open” position - this is very important!

After the end of the program, do not open the lid immediately, let the casserole cool gradually for 30 minutes, otherwise it may fall off.

It is convenient to remove the casserole from the multicooker using the steaming bowl, then turning it over onto a plate.

In the classic version, cottage cheese casserole is eaten simply with a cup of milk or tea. For those with a sweet tooth, you can offer it with sweet sour cream, condensed milk, jam and even grated chocolate.

As an experiment to add a special flavor to your cottage cheese casserole, you can try adding lemon zest, or cinnamon, or nutmeg - listen to your desires. You can also put fresh fruits in it - bananas, apples, pears, or vegetables - pumpkin, carrots, or berries.

How to cook cottage cheese casserole in a Redmond multicooker

Add semolina, salt, baking powder, vanilla sugar and raisins. Mix everything again. I used white, clean, soft, seedless raisins, so I just rinsed them lightly and dried them with a paper towel. But if the raisins are hard and twisted, then they need to be soaked in hot water for a few minutes.

Grease the multicooker bowl with butter, dump the resulting mass into it and smooth the surface with a spoon or silicone spatula.

As soon as the cartoon signals the end of the program, take out the bowl with the casserole, wait until it cools down and carefully transfer the resulting casserole to a dish.

Since the casserole in a multicooker turns out to be on top without a golden brown crust, there are two options to solve this problem - turn the casserole onto a dish with the golden brown crust on top, which is what I did, or turn it over in a bowl and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

To improve the appearance, place fresh berries in a row on the casserole. You can also top it with jam syrup.

Break the eggs into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and sugar.

Beat with a whisk or fork for a couple of minutes until bubbles appear.

Add semolina and mix well.

Add the cottage cheese and mash thoroughly with a fork until it becomes a homogeneous, smooth mass.

Leave the casserole dough aside for 20-40 minutes, during which time the semolina will swell and the dough will become thicker.

The raisins must be pre-filled with warm water for 30-60 minutes, then doused with boiling water, dried and sorted, and if necessary, get rid of the tails.

Add well-dried raisins to the dough. Mix.

Transfer the dough into a buttered multicooker bowl. Set the “Porridge” mode and bake until done.

Amazing cottage cheese casserole with raisins in a slow cooker: a taste loved since childhood

Recipe for casserole with cottage cheese and raisins

You will need:

  • cottage cheese 9% fat – 500g.
  • chicken egg – 3 pcs.
  • sugar – 3 tbsp.
  • vanilla sugar – 1 tsp.
  • semolina – 3 tbsp.
  • raisins – 1 multi-glass or 100g.
  • baking powder – 1 tsp.

Like every housewife, I also have my favorite recipes that I use more often than others. These include cottage cheese casserole. I think you also remember how it was given first in kindergarten, and later at school. This dish is very popular, and in addition to having a good taste, it is also very healthy - rich in calcium and various vitamins. It’s not for nothing that casseroles with cottage cheese are recommended for feeding children.

Ever since my husband got me a slow cooker, I've been constantly thinking about ways to adapt my favorite recipes to cook in it. Actually, with soups and cereals everything is very simple, but at first there were doubts about baking and frying, but experience has shown that there is nothing complicated here. Again, cottage cheese casserole with raisins in a slow cooker is easy and simple to prepare, and it turns out, it seems to me, no worse than in the oven. At least the culinary jury in the form of a husband and daughter is happy!

I will be happy to share with the readers of vmultivarkah.ru a recipe for how to prepare cottage cheese casserole in my Philips HD 3077/40 multicooker, but, by and large, this does not mean anything, since the cooking modes in other models are similar.

Cottage cheese for the casserole can be of any fat content, the main thing is that it is not too wet, otherwise you will have to add more semolina to thicken the dough. Let me note that I tried a lower-calorie recipe for cottage cheese casserole in a slow cooker - with raisins, but without sugar and semolina. It is also good, but it is better to prepare such a casserole in the evening, so that after baking it cools in the slow cooker for as long as possible and during this time it has time to “set”. But that's a completely different story, so now let's get started.

Cooking method

  1. Prepare all ingredients according to the list.
  2. I start preparing cottage cheese casserole in a slow cooker by lightly whisking the eggs and sugar until they turn white and foam slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, I mash the cottage cheese with a fork to get rid of lumps, add it along with vanilla sugar to the egg mixture.
  4. Then I add the semolina and baking powder and, after mixing thoroughly, leave the curd mixture to stand for 15 minutes so that the semolina swells a little.
  5. There are raisins left - washed and dried, I add them to the curd mass before baking.
  6. I grease the multicooker bowl with olive oil (or any other vegetable oil, most importantly, odorless) and lay out the dough.

I send it to bake by selecting the “Oven” function at a temperature of 150 degrees. After 35 minutes, the cottage cheese casserole with raisins in the slow cooker is completely ready. I let it cool without taking out the bowl.

This casserole is amazingly delicious both warm and cold. I serve it to the table, as a rule, with sour cream, jam or condensed milk. But my husband and daughter also really like it if I sprinkle the casserole with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
