Do you like hearty sandwiches with tasty and juicy fillings? Here I will tell you how to make a “Club Sandwich” - a large and delicious sandwich that is perfect for a party as an appetizer.

Feathered hit of all times

The chicken club sandwich can be considered a culinary canon. Although there are many variations involving this bird. First of all, coat the chicken breast with salt and spices, fry until golden brown and cut into oblique thin slices. In a toaster or oven, brown 3 pieces of toast. Mix the sauce from 1 tbsp. l. sweet mustard and 1 tbsp. l. mayonnaise. Now let’s “build” our sandwich. Spread the sauce on the first toast, cover it with a lettuce leaf, and place chicken pieces on it. On top we place the second toast, smeared with sauce on both sides, 2 slices of ham, 3-4 mugs of tomato and a couple of slices of cheese. We hide them under the second leaf of lettuce and complete the composition with the third toast, not forgetting to coat it with sauce on the bottom. Wrap the sandwich in cling film and press lightly to seal it better. The chicken club sandwich recipe can be easily modified by using turkey as the main ingredient. Children will especially like it this way.

With added chicken breast

Chicken breast is one of the most frequent guests of club sandwiches. It tastes best when grilled.

Ingredients:

  • toast bread - 6 pieces;
  • tomato – 1 pc.;
  • red onion - a small head;
  • mayonnaise and sweet/spicy mustard - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • lettuce leaves – 2 pcs.;
  • ham and cheese – 30-40 g each;
  • chicken fillet – 1 pc.

Preparation:

  1. To prepare the sauce, simply combine mayonnaise and mustard in a small bowl. You can add any favorite spices to the resulting composition.
  2. Brown the bread pieces on a grill pan or in a toaster. Coat each side with the resulting sauce. Three bread slices will be used to make one sandwich. Therefore, the middle one needs to be covered with sauce on both sides at once.
  3. Divide the fillet into 4 pieces, add salt, sprinkle with spices to taste and grill in a frying pan. Cut the onion into rings, the tomato into slices.
  4. Place a lettuce leaf on the first piece. Cover it with two pieces of fried breast.
  5. Place a few rings of sweet red onion on top.
  6. Add a little sauce and cover the first “floor” with a new piece of bread, coated on both sides with mustard and mayonnaise.
  7. Place a slice of ham and tomato slices on top. Repeat layer of sauce and add cheese.
  8. Cover the sandwich with a third slice of bread. Secure the filling with skewers. Repeat all steps with the second sandwich. Cut each in half diagonally.

This chicken club sandwich is delicious served with french fries and various sauces.

Breakfast for Great Achievements

The Bacon and Egg Club Sandwich is another classic version of a delicious and incredibly filling sandwich. Toast 2 slices of bread in a dry frying pan. Then pour vegetable oil into it, heat it up and prepare a fried egg from one egg. Carefully place it on a plate and fry 2 strips of bacon in the same pan until crispy. Generously coat the dried toast with tomato sauce and cover with lettuce. Next, alternately lay out thin slices of tomato, fried egg, fried bacon and a thick piece of cheese. We cover it all with a leaf of lettuce and press it with a second slice of bread, after thoroughly greasing it with tomato sauce. Before serving, microwave the sandwich for a couple of minutes and then cut it diagonally. This luxurious breakfast sandwich will fill you with energy and good mood until lunchtime.

Club sandwich recipe

1. Place a large nonstick skillet on the stove and set the heat to medium. Then place slices of smoked bacon on it.


2. Thinly slice the tomatoes and set aside for a while so as not to interfere.


3. Tear off a few lettuce leaves, wash them thoroughly, then put them in a colander to drain all the water, otherwise our sandwich may become soggy.


4. Wipe a cutting board with a kitchen towel, then place the chicken on it and cover with a layer of parchment paper. Tap the meat with the bottom of the pan or ladle. Jamie Oliver recommends this method in many of his recipes to flatten the fillet a little without splattering all over the kitchen.


5. Remove the paper and season the fillets on both sides with salt and pepper.


6. When the bacon begins to brown on one side, turn it over and distribute it along the edges of the pan - this is how the recipe is intended.


7. Add the battered fillet to the middle of the pan and fry for 2 minutes, or until golden brown.


8. Then turn the chicken over and cook for another 2 minutes or until cooked through. Check the bacon and if it is already fried well, then place it on top of the fillet so as not to overcook it and at the same time permeate the chicken with the aroma of bacon.


9. Mix mayonnaise, yogurt and mustard together in a deep bowl and season with a small amount of salt and pepper.


10. Toast 6 slices of bread in a frying pan and place them on a clean cutting board. Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise sauce on each slice of bread, this will make the sandwich juicier. Place lettuce on 2 slices and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.


11. When the chicken fillet is ready, place it on top of the lettuce leaves. Top the other 2 pieces of bread with tomato slices and crispy fried bacon slices. Are you drooling yet? =)


12. Place the bacon and bread slices on top of the lettuce and chicken slices. Then cover it all with the remaining pieces of bread and place them so that the sauce is on the bottom.


13. Press down lightly on top to make sure everything sticks together. The sandwich is ready, as we said - the recipe is very simple. Jamie Oliver usually serves this sandwich with a glass of cool white wine or beer, and it's delicious as hell.

Sweet impromptu for a gourmet

A ham and cheese club sandwich is also a satisfying experience, especially if you add something unexpected like an apple. Toast two pieces of toast. Spread the first toast with cream cheese and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cover it with slices of ham, thin slices of fresh apple and another slice of cheddar. Next, place the second toast, having previously spread it with melted cheese. After this, put the sandwich in the oven at 190 °C for another 5 minutes. Before serving, cut the sandwich diagonally. By the way, the combination of ham and pear will also surprise you and your loved ones with its delicate and harmonious taste.

Classic version

Initially, it was customary to make a club sandwich with chicken. The recipe has changed over time, but many try to stick to the original version.

In this case, you will need the following products:

chicken fillet, 2 slices of bread and the same number of slices of bacon, sea salt, a bunch of arugula, a tablespoon of mayonnaise, half an avocado and a tomato, ground black pepper and the juice of half a lemon.

After this, the cooking process itself begins:

  1. First, fry the chicken (or turkey) fillet in oil for 3 minutes on each side.
  2. Cut it into thin pieces no more than 1 centimeter thick.
  3. Prepare the sauce. To do this, mix avocado, salt, mayonnaise, lemon juice and pepper in a blender.
  4. Spread one piece of bread with the prepared sauce.
  5. Next comes arugula, chicken, fried bacon and tomato.
  6. All this should be poured with sauce and a piece of bread should be placed on top.

All that remains is to cut the resulting sandwich with a sharp knife and be sure to place both parts on a plate.

Wonders of the Deep Sea

There is also a treat for the sea soul - in the form of a club sandwich with tuna. Hard boil 4 eggs and cut them into circles. In the same way, cut 2 tomatoes, chop the red onion into half rings. Thoroughly mash 300 g of canned tuna with a fork. Now let's make the sauce. Finely chop 100 g of capers, 10 pitted olives and 2-3 anchovies, then mix them with 80 g of mayonnaise. Rye bread is more suitable for this recipe. To prevent the tuna from falling apart, mix it with the sauce and grease the bottom toast with this mixture. Place slices of tomato, eggs and red onion on top. The composition will be crowned with a leaf of lettuce and another slice of bread. Place the sandwich in an oven preheated to 180°C, after which you can cut it diagonally and serve. Replace the tuna with salmon and the anchovy sauce with Philadelphia cheese, and even the most discerning gourmets will not refuse this sandwich.

Simplified version

At home, you don’t have to bother yourself with following all the rules and prepare your own club sandwich. The recipe will remain the same, but will consist of those products that are currently on hand. Moreover, it is not necessary to make two layers of filling. You can limit yourself to just one. This will require less bread. Such a sandwich, however, will look like an ordinary closed sandwich. For example, for two servings you can use the following components: 4 pieces of bread and boiled beef, 2 eggs, the same number of slices of cheese and lettuce, 200 grams of bacon and 4 slices of tomato, as well as mayonnaise and mustard sauce in a ratio of 1:3.

The cooking method is very similar to the previous version:

  1. First you need to prepare the ingredients. This time, the eggs should be boiled and cut crosswise into several even circles.
  2. Prepare sauce from mustard and mayonnaise.
  3. Assemble all the ingredients in order: bread - sauce - bacon - salad - meat, egg - cheese - bread.

After this, the finished sandwich can be cut into 2 or 4 parts. It all depends on personal desire and the size of the bread slice.

Festival of vegetable abundance

The club sandwich can be made original with the help of various sauces. For example, try adding mustard sauce to a classic ham sandwich. Mix 2 tsp. mustard (Dijon can be used) with 1 tsp. balsamic sauce. Slice the tomato, ham and cheese into thin slices. Spread the dried toast with mustard sauce, put cheese, ham, tomatoes, a few iceberg lettuce leaves, and 2-3 sprigs of arugula on it. Next, add 2 mugs of mozzarella, 3-5 iceberg lettuce leaves, sprinkle with 1 tsp. olive oil, grease with mustard sauce and cover the layer with the second toast. The sandwich can be fried in a frying pan or grill.

Tuna Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

Canned tuna150-180 g
Toast bread4 things.
Tomato1 PC.
Egg1 PC.
Mayonnaise2 tsp.
Salttaste
Peppertaste
Onion70 g

Light mayonnaise is preferable; it can be replaced with natural yogurt.

Making a tuna sandwich

  1. Boil the egg.
  2. Mash 150-180 g of canned tuna with a fork until it forms a paste.

  3. Add a couple of teaspoons of mayonnaise to the fish. Add salt and pepper if desired. Mix thoroughly.

  4. Cut 70 g of onion into half rings.

  5. Cut a small tomato into thin slices.

  6. Cut the egg into petals.

  7. Prepare 2 pieces of toast in the toaster (you can dry the bread in the oven).

  8. Place onion rings on toast. Place tuna paste on top.

  9. Next, lay out the egg and tomato slices.

  10. Cover this splendor with the second toast and cut it in half diagonally. To prevent them from falling apart, we fasten them with a skewer or toothpick.
