For the following recipe you will need the following ingredients:

  • a pack of store-bought dough (puff pastry);
  • 0.4 kg of mushrooms;
  • 3 potato tubers;
  • 1 onion head;
  • 1 large egg;
  • a pinch of table salt;
  • crushed black pepper;
  • 20 ml sunflower oil.

Step by step steps:

  1. Chop the onion into cubes.
  2. Mushrooms are washed and cut into narrow slices.
  3. Oil is poured into a frying pan and the chopped products are added there.
  4. After 5-7 minutes they are peppered and salted.
  5. Boil the potatoes.
  6. Mash it to a puree and combine with mushroom slices.
  7. The finished base is rolled out thinly using a rolling pin. The edges are cut.

Dough

First, let's make the dough. To do this, melt the butter in a water bath, pour it into a bowl, then pour in the sifted flour. If you don’t want to melt the butter, then grind it together with the flour into crumbs. Add a pinch of salt. Add two chicken eggs.

Mix everything until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Roll the dough into a circle, cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. In the meantime, let's start with the filling.

Filling

Boil the potatoes until half cooked in salted water. It is better to cook it whole to preserve the structure of the vegetable, otherwise the potatoes will turn into mashed potatoes in the pie.

Fry mushrooms in sunflower oil along with onions. Chopping onions and mushrooms does not matter. Do it as you personally like. The cooking process is very simple. As soon as the volume of champignons in the pan has decreased by 2-3 times, it’s ready. The most important thing here is not to burn the onion; it should be fried, but not black. Don't forget to salt the whole thing and add black pepper. It is better not to use other seasonings so as not to interrupt the subtle mushroom aroma.

Before mixing potatoes and mushrooms into a single filling, you need to wait until everything has cooled. Then cut the potatoes into cubes and mix with mushrooms (optional, you can put them on the dough separately from each other).

Fill

Let's prepare the filling. To do this, scramble the two remaining eggs at our disposal in a deep bowl. Add two tablespoons of flour to the bowl. Mix thoroughly. Then you should add salt and add the prepared 250 grams of sour cream and milk. Mix thoroughly again. The filling is ready.

Baking

It's time for baking. Take a deep baking tray (or any other baking dish) and grease it with sunflower oil or lard so that the pie with potatoes and mushrooms does not burn.

We take the dough out of the refrigerator and put it in the mold so that the shape of a deep plate with sides is obtained. Add mushrooms and potatoes. Fill everything with our preparation and send it to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 60 minutes.

It is especially tasty based on the following products:

  • 230 g high-grade flour;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 75 g sour cream;
  • 230 g ham;
  • 0.1 kg butter with cream;
  • 0.2 kg potato tubers;
  • 1.5 tbsp. milk;
  • 0.4 kg of mushrooms.

Instructions for creating the dish:

  1. Bread flour is distributed on the table.
  2. Soft butter is placed on top and kneaded together with flour until crumbs appear.
  3. Beat eggs (2 pcs.) with sour cream product.
  4. Add butter crumbs and knead the dough.
  5. Wrap in film and put in a cool place for half an hour.
  6. The mold is rubbed with oil and the dough is immersed in it.
  7. Place baking paper on top and sprinkle any legumes to prevent bubbles from appearing.
  8. Bake the base for ten minutes.
  9. Brown the mushrooms in a frying pan, chop soft potatoes and ham.
  10. Whisk the remaining egg with milk and add salt.
  11. Place the filling on the base and fill it with the mixture from the previous point.
  12. Load into the oven.

How to cook “Short pie with mushrooms and potatoes”

Prepare all ingredients.

  7. Cheese is grated.
  8. Mushrooms are cut into pieces.
  9. Chop the onion into strips.
  10. Boil the potatoes until almost fully cooked.
  11. The container is rubbed with the spread and the dough is loaded into it.
  12. Form the sides and coat the surface with sour cream.
  13. The filling is placed in the following order: mushrooms, chicken, onions, potatoes.

Next, put the dough in a plastic bag, fill a bowl with water, and place the dough there. Attention: the water must be ice cold!! And we leave the dough for half an hour, by this time it will rise a little from the bottom - it will float, and you can continue to work with it.

In the meantime, let's prepare the filling. We wash the mushrooms, remove the top skin from them, rinse, dry, and chop. Let's cut the onion.

Lightly fry the onion in oil, add chopped mushrooms to it.

Stirring, fry until the water from the mushrooms evaporates. There is no need to fry it too much; the filling will still be cooked in the pie.

Now our dough has already surfaced, the mushrooms are ripe - put them out and let them cool. Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into slices of about 2-3 mm.

Now divide the dough into almost equal parts and set the first one aside. The second, having greased the table and hands with butter, roll out so that it fits onto the baking sheet with an overlap.

Grease the baking tray and place the dough. We align it so that the sides are formed.

Place potato mugs on the dough, add salt and pepper.

Place mushrooms and onions on potatoes. I have a low baking sheet, so there is not enough filling, if you are making it high and want a tall pie, then add more filling. But, for my taste, everything worked out just right, no more was needed.
