Stewed sauerkraut in a multicooker “German style”
Sauerkraut is often used in German cuisine. A German neighbor shared this recipe with my then young grandmother. Times were not very abundant back then, so the recipe, which uses a minimum of ingredients, was a success.
- sauerkraut – 500 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- butter or ghee – 50 g;
- cumin - on the tip of a knife;
- black pepper - to taste.
Place oil in the multicooker bowl and turn on the “fry” mode. When the butter melts, add the finely diced onion. You can also cut the onion into half rings if someone likes that better. Fry until the onion becomes translucent.
Meanwhile, transfer the cabbage to a colander, rinse and squeeze very well. Transfer the cabbage to the bowl with the onions and cook in the same mode for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then pour about 50 ml of boiling water and switch the device to the “quenching” mode. In this mode, the liquid practically does not evaporate, so you can safely go about your business by setting the simmering time to 90 minutes. If a different mode is used, you need to periodically look into the bowl to check the presence of liquid. If everything has boiled away, you need to add a little more water.
After finishing the regime, add pepper and cumin to the cabbage. As a rule, no salt is required for this dish. Switch the appliance to fat mode and cook with the lid open, stirring until excess liquid evaporates. The cabbage is ready. This is an excellent side dish for pork, sausages and other dishes.
Stewed cabbage in the Polaris slow cooker with beans and mushrooms
This dish is considered all-season, because... Products for its preparation can be found on sale at any time of the year. Due to the fact that the dish does not contain meat ingredients, it can be served during Lent, as well as for children or the elderly. Overall, the dish turns out to be universal, uniquely tasty, juicy and tender.
For cooking we will need to prepare the following products:
- cabbage - ¼ head;
- soy sauce – 3 tbsp. l.;
- dry beans – 100 g;
- dried forest mushrooms – 50 g;
- greenery;
- vegetable oil;
- seasonings, salt.
Cooking process:
- The first step is to soak the beans. It is advisable to do this in the evening or at least 3 hours before cooking. Then pour it into the multicooker bowl, fill two fingers with water and cook in the “Stew” mode for 60 minutes.
- About 2 hours before cooking, soak the mushrooms in warm water.
- When the beans are cooked, wash the bowl of the device, grease it with oil and pour in the mushrooms. Cook them on the “Frying” program for 20 minutes. Leave the lid open and stir the ingredients occasionally.
- At this time, chop the cabbage as finely as possible. Then pour it over the mushrooms.
- Add soy sauce and ½ cup of water.
- We switch the device to the “Stew” cooking mode. Cook vegetables for 30 minutes.
- Then open the lid of the multicooker and add beans, herbs and bay leaves.
- Salt and add seasonings to taste.
- When the device beeps at the end of the program, switch to the “Warming” mode for 15 minutes.

Stewed cabbage with minced meat and rice
Stewed cabbage with minced meat and rice tastes like cabbage rolls. But this dish is much easier to prepare.
- white cabbage – 800 g;
- minced meat (any kind - chicken, pork, beef, etc.) - 400 g;
- dry rice – 0.5 cups;
- carrots – 1 pc.;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- tomato paste – 1 tbsp. l.;
- salt, black pepper to taste;
- bay leaf - optional.
Prepare food: peel vegetables, rinse rice. Chop the cabbage into thin strips, grate the carrots, and chop the onion finely.
Stewed cabbage with chicken in a slow cooker
Stewing cabbage in a slow cooker with chicken will retain the flavor and will not take much time. In addition, this dish can easily be classified as low-calorie.
Ingredients
- 1/2 head of white cabbage
- 100 g beans
- 50 g bacon
- 2 chicken fillets
- 100 g fresh peas
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 70 g vegetable oil
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- ]salt and pepper to taste
Cooking steps
- Chop the cabbage into thin strips. Cut peas and beans in half crosswise.
- Pour breadcrumbs into the multicooker bowl, add butter and 2 thyme leaves. Fry the crackers in oil in the “Frying” mode until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Add a pinch of salt and place on a plate.
- Place half the vegetable oil in a bowl, fry the bacon slices until golden brown, and place on a paper towel.
- In a bowl, fry the chicken fillet on both sides until golden brown. Add salt and pepper to taste and remove from the multicooker.
- Place white cabbage, remaining thyme leaves in a bowl, pour in oil, salt and pepper to taste. Set the “Extinguishing” mode and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
- Add beans and peas to the stewed cabbage, add chicken fillet, chopped garlic, bacon and simmer all together until done for about 10 minutes.

A hearty and simple dish prepared with meat. It is better to use pork, but you can use other types of meat, including chicken or turkey.
- cabbage – 1 kg;
- meat – 500 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;

- vegetable oil – 50 ml;
- tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.;
- salt and spices - to taste;

Peel the vegetables. Chop the onion into halves or quarters of rings (cut thinly). Grate the carrots, cut the bell pepper into thin strips. Chop the cabbage and cut the meat into small pieces.
Pour oil into the bowl and turn on the “fry” mode. Let the oil warm up and place the onion in it. After another 5 minutes, add carrots, and after another 5 minutes, add pepper.
Quick lunch: stewed cabbage with sausages in a slow cooker
It is perhaps impossible to come up with a simpler dish than sausages with stewed cabbage in a slow cooker. Combined with tomato sauce, these ingredients create a hearty and tasty lunch that even a teenager can cook.
What ingredients are needed for cabbage stewed in a slow cooker:
- young cabbage – 500 g;
- onion – 1 piece;
- carrots – 1 piece;
- veal sausages – 6 pcs;
- tomatoes – 4 pcs;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- Bay leaf;
- sunflower oil;
- salt, pepper - to taste.
Fresh tomatoes can be replaced by canned tomatoes in their own juice or tomato paste diluted in a small amount of boiled water.
To make stewed cabbage in a slow cooker, follow the instructions:
- Chop the onion as finely as possible and fry in sunflower oil in the “Baking” mode until translucent.
- Grate the carrots or cut into thin bars and add to the onion.
- After 5-7 minutes, add tomatoes cut into small cubes or tomato paste with water. Canned tomatoes can simply be mashed with a fork. If you are using fresh tomatoes, add water if necessary.
- Cut the sausages into slices and place in a bowl.
- Finely chop the cabbage and place in the slow cooker.
- Set the “Stew” program and cook the stewed cabbage in the slow cooker for 60 minutes.
- 20 minutes before readiness, add the garlic passed through a press, add salt and stir.
Helpful advice: if you chop olives or pickles into cabbage stewed in a slow cooker, you will get a dish more reminiscent of hodgepodge.
Stewed cabbage with potatoes and vegetables
Cabbage stewed with potatoes and vegetables is an excellent side dish or a complete vegetarian dish.
- cabbage – 500 g;
- potatoes – 4 pcs.;
- carrots – 1 pc.;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- bell pepper – 1 pc.;
- tomato – 1-2 pcs. depending on size;
- garlic – 1-2 cloves (optional);
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
- spices and fresh herbs to taste;
- hot water – 0.5 cups.
Peel all vegetables. Chop the cabbage, bell pepper and onion, grate the carrots, cut the potatoes into small cubes.
Pour oil into the bowl and turn on the “fry” mode. First add carrots, onions and peppers and fry for 7-10 minutes. Then add cabbage and potatoes, stir and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
Remove the skin from the tomato and cut into small cubes. Send him to the vegetables. Pour in water, salt and add spices to taste. Switch the device to the “quenching” mode for 30 minutes. Before the end of cooking, add crushed garlic and chopped herbs. After the end of the mode, leave it on the “warm” mode for 15 minutes so that the dish infuses and acquires aroma.

Products for cooking:
- White cabbage - one piece;
- Large onion - one piece;
- Two medium carrots;
- Two tablespoons of tomato paste;
- Pepper, salt - to taste;
- Half a glass of vegetable oil;
- Laurel leaf - two pieces.
Preparation:
- Wash, peel and cut the vegetables as desired - you can into thin cubes.
- Pour oil into the multi-bowl and set the appliance to the “Baking” mode (seven minutes).
- Sauté onions and carrots in hot oil.
- Then add cabbage and stir.
- Add tomato paste and 100 ml of water to a glass.

Let's prepare all the ingredients for our dish.
Prepare all products for stewing in a certain way. Cut the head of cabbage in half and then shred it into medium-sized pieces of cabbage. A small shredder will not work, because... When stewing, the cabbage softens and then you get a dish more reminiscent of cabbage puree.
To prepare stewed cabbage with tomatoes in a slow cooker, first pour sunflower oil into the bowl. Then place all the chopped cabbage into a container.
The carrots must be grated. If you use a regular coarse grater, then when stewing, the taste of carrots will mix with other ingredients and will be invisible. You shouldn’t cut it either, as the dish will acquire a bright “carrot” flavor. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use a “Korean” grater.
Add the carrots to the multicooker bowl on top of the shredded cabbage.
Chop the onion next. Grind this product into medium squares.
Add the onion to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients and salt the dish.
Add water to salted foods; it will help dissolve the salt and make the dish more juicy and tender. If you like stewed vegetables with the addition of herbs, then feel free to add it. Next, all the crushed ingredients should be stirred with a plastic or wooden spoon. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
