The pizza with small sausages and tomatoes turned out delicious, the yeast dough with milk did not disappoint, as always! The topping for this pizza also contains fresh basil, which gives the pizza a touch of authentic Italian cuisine!

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough - 300 g
  • Small milk sausages – 150 g
  • Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
  • Hard cheese - 80 g
  • Fresh basil - 2 stalks
  • Ketchup - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tbsp. l.
  • Salt - 2 pinches
  • Ground black pepper - 2 pinches

To make sausage and tomato pizza, first prepare the dough using this recipe. It is enough for 2 pizzas, the dough is approximately 600 grams. I divided the dough into 2 parts, one of which I used to make this pizza.

For the filling, take small sausages, tomatoes, hard cheese, basil, salt and pepper. I prepared the sauce from mild ketchup, mayonnaise, a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper.

Roll out the dough, shape it into a circle, place it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper or a special pizza pan.

Brush the dough with sauce.

Place sausages, cut into small pieces, on a flatbread of dough, greased with sauce.

Then place tomato slices, fresh green basil on the surface of the dough, lightly sprinkle the filling with salt and pepper (a pinch each).

  3. It is better to prepare tomato sauce yourself, rather than using trivial tomato paste or, especially, ketchup from a bag. If you haven’t prepared homemade tomato sauce since the fall, you can chop the pulp of 1-2 ripe tomatoes, add spices and simmer the sauce under the lid for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Onion, preferably sweet, cut into thin strips and marinate in 1 tbsp. l. wine vinegar for at least half an hour.
