Their quantity depends on the consistency of the filling. You shouldn't end up with a thick porridge. The breadcrumbs should only absorb excess liquid, if any. If the filling is moderately thick, there should be a minimum of crackers or do without them at all.

Return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes until the dough is completely cooked. To serve, garnish with cream and thin zest strips.
