- You need to start preparing the salad with chicken, as this will take time. So, first we wash the meat and remove all remaining fat deposits.
- Place it in a saucepan, fill it with water until completely covered and put it on the stove.
- After boiling, you need to pour out the water (if the meat is store-bought), fill the pan with a portion of fresh water and cook the chicken in it until soft, salting it in the process.

In this salad, layers of whites and yolks are laid out separately. And the very bottom layer is just the squirrels. So, three whites on a fine grater and form them into an oval on a plate. Cover the layer with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
2. The chicken also needs to be pre-cooked and cooled. Next, you need to free it from the bones and cut it into small cubes. Carefully place the second layer on top of the egg whites with mayonnaise, add salt, and maybe sprinkle with a small amount of freshly ground black pepper. Thinly coat with mayonnaise.
3. Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. To remove the bitterness, pour boiling water over it (it’s easiest to do this in a colander). You can take sweet Crimean onions, like mine, in which case the onions are laid out on the chicken without pre-processing.
4. Peel the apple; you don’t have to cut out the core with the seeds, because we grate the apple on a coarse grater and you can simply leave all the excess. Sweet and sour apples, such as Semerenko or Idared, are suitable for the Turtle salad. Keeping the general oval shape, place the apple on the onion and a little mayonnaise on top.
6. Fifth layer - cheese. Grind it on a fine grater and place it on top of the apple and mayonnaise. It is better to take Russian cheese or other varieties with a neutral taste - this way it will be better combined with other products without dominating the taste.
7. Place finely grated egg yolks on top of the cheese and apply a fine mesh of mayonnaise. Decorate the salad by giving it a turtle look. The next layer is chopped green or onion. You can first pour boiling water over the onion for a couple of minutes to prevent it from becoming bitter.
