For lovers of Asian cuisine, I offer a recipe for preparing chicken stewed in soy sauce with garlic and ginger. This is an incredibly aromatic and savory dish that is worth trying.

How to cook Chicken Stewed in Soy Sauce

1. Peel the garlic and cut into cubes, but not very small. It should be noticeable in this dish, so if you like garlic, feel free to add more of it.

2. Peel a small ginger root and cut into thin long cubes.

3. In this version, the recipe for preparing chicken stewed in soy sauce uses only wings, but you can use any parts of the bird. The chicken needs to be washed and placed in a colander to drain excess water.

4. Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan and add ginger and garlic there.

5. After a couple of minutes, place the chicken in the pan.

6. Fry the chicken over high heat until crust appears, then turn over.

7. Combine soy sauce with water in acceptable proportions. If you like the rich taste of the sauce, you can add as much water as the sauce.

8. Pour the sauce into the frying pan and leave the dish to simmer over medium heat.

Simple Chicken Recipes with Honey Soy Sauce

You can stew the chicken in a pot, cauldron or stewpan; for small volumes, even an ordinary frying pan will do. The main condition is that the dishes must have a thick bottom and lid.

Unpretentious preparation, literally “in a hurry,” makes this dish a favorite even among those whose time is scheduled in minutes. 10 minutes to prepare food is enough to enjoy a full dinner on the way out.

Tip: due to the presence of soy sauce, it is not necessary to salt the meat; even for lovers of “salty” foods, this procedure is recommended to be carried out after tasting before removing from the stove.

Cut the chicken into portions, season with your favorite spices, and place in the prepared bowl. Pour in soy sauce mixed with honey, add hot boiled water so that it covers the meat. That's it, the preparatory procedures are over! It remains to turn on a small fire and leave to simmer for an hour and a half under a closed lid.

Chicken prepared according to this recipe in honey-soy sauce is suitable for dietary nutrition, since the frying stage is completely excluded from the cooking technology.

Recipe for a festive feast

Chicken stewed in honey and soy sauce in any case has a spicy taste. But it can be made even more unusual if the bird is pre-marinated.

The cooking technology consists of three stages:

  • Stage one: marinating. Coat the chicken pieces with a mixture of soy sauce, honey and spices, place in a bowl, cover with cling film, and refrigerate for two hours.
  • Stage two: frying in hot oil until golden brown. Usually two to three minutes are enough.

Important: the crust “seals” the meat juice, so it stops flowing out. The result: a particularly juicy finished product.

  • Third stage: stewing. There are two common options:
  1. First: add the remaining marinade to the frying pan with meat and butter, cover with a lid and simmer for about 40 minutes. The French call this method “confit”, it is similar to the Russian “candy”. The finished chicken looks like candy, or more precisely, like caramel. This happens due to the presence of honey.
  2. Second: remove the chicken from the pan and place it on paper towels to remove excess fat. Then it is transferred to another bowl, poured over with marinade, water or broth is added and simmered for at least an hour.

Served with potatoes, vegetables, pasta, porridge. Guests will be delighted only by the honey color and aroma of the finished dish, and when they try it, they will definitely ask for more.

Asian style

If the previous recipes had an Asian taste, then this dish refers to Chinese or Thai cuisine with just its appearance. Pairs well with rice or rice noodles, traditional side dishes for this region.

Tip: separate the meat from the bones or use ready-made fillets.

In addition to the main ingredients you will need:

  • grated ginger – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • curry seasoning – ½ tsp;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • sesame seeds – 1 bag.

Cut the chicken meat into small pieces, add salt, sprinkle with your favorite spices, curry, chopped garlic and ginger, mix and marinate for half an hour.

Then grease the hot frying pan with vegetable oil. Separate one teaspoon from the prepared honey. Add honey to the butter and place the fillet here. Fry over high heat for 5 minutes with constant stirring, otherwise you will get “crackers” instead of juicy meat.

After browning evenly, pour in soy sauce and the remaining honey, mix thoroughly, you can add a little water. Reduce heat, cover with a lid. After 15 minutes, check for readiness; if necessary, leave on the stove for a few more minutes.

Important: readiness is determined by external signs - the sauce becomes thick, and the chicken is covered with a glossy crust.

Place the fillet on rice or noodles and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

With sesame seeds

Asian cuisine differs from European cuisine by the priority use of spicy spices and sauces, which give everyday food an unsurpassed taste, awakening the appetite and stimulating the digestive processes.

To prepare a chicken dish in the Asian tradition, you need:

  • ½ kg fillet;
  • a shot of soy sauce;
  • a piece of ginger root;
  • 15 g sesame seeds;
  • sunflower oil.

The stages of creating a dish with unique gastronomic qualities consist of the following steps:

  1. Small pieces are prepared from the washed and dried fillet.
  2. Ginger root is grated on a fine grater to obtain a uniform paste.
  3. Prepared ginger, soy sauce, sesame seeds and a shot of vegetable oil are mixed in a small bowl.
  4. Chicken pieces in a deep bowl are coated with dressing, after which the container is sent into the cold, where it is kept overnight.
  5. Well-marinated pieces are fried until golden brown in a frying pan with a thick bottom.
  6. Traditionally, the dish is served with fluffy rice and a portion of fresh salad.

Recipe with vegetables

A wonderful independent dish is prepared from:

  • chicken breast;
  • 100 g sweet red pepper;
  • 200 g sweet green pepper;
  • large onion;
  • small carrots;
  • 100 ml soy sauce;
  • 5 g granulated sugar;
  • a small amount of olive oil.

Creation method:

  1. Chicken breast is cut into small cubes.
  2. Carrots are cut into rings, onions into small pieces, peppers into strips.
  3. Soy sauce and sugar are mixed in a bowl until the latter is completely dissolved.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan, then add the chicken pieces and fry for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  5. Then, one by one, with an interval of 2-3 minutes, root vegetables, onions and strips of pepper are sent to the meat.
  6. Vegetables and meat are poured with the prepared dressing while constantly stirring and continue to fry for no more than 3 minutes.

Fried chicken in soy sauce in a frying pan

To enjoy a juicy chicken weighing 1.5 kg, just prepare:

  • ½ head of garlic;
  • 60 ml soy sauce;
  • 100 ml sunflower oil;
  • a little ground ginger;
  • other spices as desired.

The cooking method is as follows:

  1. The carcass is washed, dried and divided into pieces.
  2. A dressing is prepared from the sauce, ginger, chopped garlic and ½ oil, in which the prepared pieces are marinated.
  3. After 2 hours, the chicken is fried in a frying pan with heated oil until golden brown.

In sour cream and soy sauce in a frying pan

150 g of sour cream gives special tenderness to white meat in an amount of ½ kg.

In addition to these products, you will also need:

  • bulb;
  • ½ cup soy sauce;
  • 15 g butter;
  • a similar amount of sunflower oil.

Basic preparation steps:

  1. The onion is chopped.
  2. Small pieces are prepared from the fillet.
  3. In a frying pan where butter and sunflower oil are heated, thin onion half rings are sautéed until golden brown.
  4. The sirloin pieces go with the onion pieces.
  5. After 3-4 minutes, pour the sauce over the contents of the pan.
  6. After all the liquid has evaporated, the dish is seasoned with sour cream and simmered under the lid for about 20 minutes.

Cooking from chicken fillet

White meat lovers can use 2 chicken fillets to prepare a flavorful dish with spicy notes.

In addition to the main ingredient, you will need:

  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • ½ glass of olive oil;
  • a little turmeric and Provençal herbs;
  • 2 shots of soy sauce.

In process:

  1. The washed fillet is divided into several parts.
  2. Garlic is cut into slices.
  3. Garlic slices are fried in a frying pan, onto which fillet parts are laid out and fried for several minutes on both sides.
  4. After 5 minutes, the meat is poured with sauce.
  5. The dish is seasoned with spices and simmered for about 10 minutes over low heat.
