Appetizing and spicy, they have long become a truly iconic dish in America. In our country, gourmets became acquainted with them relatively recently, but were able to quickly appreciate all their advantages. Of course, we are talking about spicy chicken wings. You can cook them deep-fried, in the oven or on the grill; they are delicious on their own or as a beer snack, and in combination with a side dish or some salad they turn into a nutritious lunch or dinner.

How to cook spicy chicken wings? There are many recipes for this dish. You can use them in their classic form or make your own adjustments to get the perfect result.

Wings with potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 800 g wings
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 0.5 tsp. mustard
  • 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Art. l. mayonnaise
  • curry, garlic, salt and pepper

Preparation:

  1. Make the marinade: mix soy sauce with mustard, mayonnaise and seasonings.
  2. Place the wings and potatoes in the marinade for 3 hours.
  3. Grease the pan with oil and bake at 220 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Wings in mustard-soy sauce

Ingredients:

  • 700 g chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. l. mustard
  • 1 tbsp. l. hops - suneli
  • 2 cloves garlic

Preparation:

  1. Chop the garlic. Mix soy sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic gruel and hops - suneli.
  2. Dip the wings in the marinade and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  3. Bake on a greased baking sheet at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Chicken wings in batter

Ingredients:

  • 6 wings
  • 50 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • salt pepper
  • sunflower oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Beat the flour and eggs well. Salt and pepper it.
  2. Cut the wings in half and add a little salt.
  3. Dip the wings in batter on both sides and fry in hot oil.

Wings in batter, deep-fried or in a frying pan

Juicy chicken wings fried in batter can be prepared either simply in a deep frying pan with high sides, or deep-fried in a pan. They should be eaten as a main dish with a side dish of potatoes, any vegetables or rice, or as a cold or hot appetizer. Delicious in any form!

Products:

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 table spoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 cm ginger root (or 60 g grated)
  • 0.5-1 teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1-2 large cloves of garlic
  • 2-2.5 table. spoons of potato starch
  • 2 eggs (whites)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking step by step:

First you need to marinate the chicken wings. It's best to make this the night before so they can sit in the marinade in the refrigerator at least overnight. If you don't have that much time, let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Wash the wings, divide into 3 parts according to the joints. You can leave the smallest tip for broth or chicken jellied meat

In order for the wings to marinate well, you need to cut the skin in two places, since it is quite thick and does not allow the marinade to pass through to the meat.

Place the wings in a deep cup

And pour soy sauce on top

Sprinkle with sugar. Sugar enhances the taste of all spices, which is why it is always added to marinades.

Peel the ginger root and grate it on a fine grater. Add a cup with wings. If you don't have fresh ginger, use dried ginger. We do the same with garlic. You either grate it or pass it through a crusher.

Add hot red pepper.

Add a little sesame oil. If you don't have one, add vegetable. Mix everything well

Cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator to marinate at least overnight.

The next day, take out the wings and mix them.

Add the batter directly to the bowl with the marinated wings.

It is necessary to break 2 eggs and separate the white from the yolk. For the batter we only need protein.

Then we add 2 tables. spoons of potato starch and mix everything well so that the batter is evenly distributed over the surface of the marinated wings.

You can prepare the batter separately in another bowl and dip the wings in it just before frying. Do what is most convenient for you

Chicken wings in batter can be simply fried in a frying pan in refined vegetable oil, like pink salmon in batter. Or deep-fry them, i.e. in a large amount of heated oil, in a deep bowl.

Heat the oil over heat in a deep saucepan.

Place one piece into it. Do not add a lot at once, so as not to lower the temperature of the fryer.

Fry in a boiling state for 10-12 minutes. If you doubt that the meat is ready, check it. Remove a piece from the boiling oil and cut it, if the meat is light and soft, then everything is ready. It's time to take it out.

Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a plate with a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Transfer to a plate, you can sprinkle with fresh green onions or dill. Serve with a side dish or simply as an incredibly tasty snack with beer.

Spicy wings

Ingredients:

  • 20 chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp. l. paprika
  • 0.5 tbsp. l. soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp. l. lemon juice
  • salt pepper

Preparation:

  1. Chop the garlic and mix the pulp with lemon juice, paprika and soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip the wings in the marinade, stir well and leave for 3 hours.
  3. Grill over well-heated coals until done.

Wings with Parmesan

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 3 liters of cold water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. rosemary
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1.5 -2 kg chicken wings
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp. l. breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 2 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 tbsp. l. black pepper
  • 70-80 g balsamic vinegar

Preparation:

  1. Pour water into a large saucepan, add rosemary, thyme, oregano, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil and lower the wings. Cook for 15 minutes after boiling.
  2. Dry the wings on a wire rack.
  3. Grind a pinch of salt and garlic until smooth, add olive oil, pepper (black and red).
  4. Stir the wings into the resulting marinade. And again in breadcrumbs. Now add half a cup of Parmesan.
  5. Place the wings on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown at 230 degrees.

Chicken wings in soy sauce with honey and Adyghe salt, baked in the oven with sesame seeds

Tender chicken wings, juicy and very tasty, cooked in a honey-soy marinade with aromatic Adyghe salt. Sesame not only gives them a festive look, but also a pleasant taste. Adyghe salt with aromatic herbs and garlic improves the taste of absolutely any dish. You can use it everywhere, adding it to soups, meats or marinades.

Adyghe salt contains regular coarse table salt or sea salt and aromatic seasonings: coriander, thyme, black pepper, dill, parsley, paprika, marjoram, basil, bay leaf. Adyghe salt does not have a constant composition and it depends on the manufacturer. You can make this salt at home yourself by adding your favorite seasonings to the salt.

If you don’t have Adyghe salt, just use regular salt, but be sure to add garlic to the marinade, other favorite seasonings are added at your discretion - ground black and red pepper, sweet or hot, thyme, etc.

Products:

  • 600-700 g chicken wings
  • 1 table spoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 4 table. spoons of soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt and 2 cloves of garlic
  • or 0.5-1 teaspoon. spoon of Adyghe salt

Cooking recipe step by step:

Wash the wings and dry. Cut into 2-3 pieces at the joints.

Place them in a deep cup or pan where they will marinate.

Before you start preparing the marinade, you need to salt the wings a little with Adyghe salt.

It contains quite a lot of garlic. If you have regular salt, then add garlic to the sauce (marinade). Salt the wings just a little bit, because soy sauce is also quite salty.

Preparing the sauce for the wings

Place 1 tablespoon of honey in a cup

Add 1 teaspoon of homemade mustard, the recipe for which is on the website. If you don’t have homemade mustard, use store-bought mustard—Russian or Dijon or French mustard, whatever you like.

Add 4 tables. spoons of soy sauce

Mix everything and add 4 tablespoons of odorless sunflower oil, if you have it, use olive oil.

Mix everything and pour the sauce over the wings

Mix well and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer than an hour or two, or leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight if time permits.

Once the wings have been marinated for the required amount of time, place them in a baking dish.

Do not pour the marinade into the pan with the wings yet.

Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees to bake for 30 minutes.

Then take it out and coat it with marinade.

And sprinkle with sesame seeds

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the wings for 15-20 minutes until they are well browned.

Wings in honey-soy marinade are ready

This is an excellent hot appetizer for a holiday table, a delicious family dinner - you can serve these wings with mashed potatoes and vegetables or as an appetizer with beer

Chicken wings in lemon syrup

Ingredients:

  • 500 g wings
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1/2 l water
  • 3 lemons
  • black pepper

Preparation:

  1. Wash and dry the lemons. Cut into halves.
  2. Boil syrup from water and sugar, add lemon halves and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Rub the wings with pepper and fill the mold with syrup along with lemons.
  4. Bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Wings with garlic

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg wings
  • 1 tbsp. l. wine vinegar
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp. l. sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp. hot paprika
  • 1 tbsp. l. oregano
  • 2 chili peppers, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • salt

Preparation:

  1. Remove the wing tips. Cut the wings into two parts and season with salt.
  2. Mix vinegar, olive oil, chili pepper, paprika, garlic, oregano and onion, cut into half rings.
  3. Mix the wings with the marinade and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  4. Place everything on a baking sheet, spreading the wings in one layer.
  5. Bake for 40 - 50 minutes at 180 degrees.

Spicy wings for beer

As a snack for a foamy drink, spicy wings prepared according to the classic recipe called “Buffalo” are ideal.

Ingredients:

  • chicken wings – 1 kg;
  • mustard (it is advisable to use sweet mustard, but regular mustard is also suitable) - 2 tbsp;
  • a few drops of Tabasco sauce;
  • one and a half glasses of kefir (it is best to take it with a fat content of 3.2%);
  • 6 cloves of garlic;
  • two teaspoons of paprika (ground);
  • salt (preferably coarse) and ground black pepper - to taste;
  • greenery;
  • oil - ideally olive, but sunflower (refined) is also suitable - during frying it should cover the wings halfway.

For the Buffalo sauce:

  • butter – 60 grams;
  • Tabasco sauce – two to three drops;
  • two tablespoons of tomato paste or sauce;
  • garlic clove;
  • pepper and salt to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade (pre-chop the garlic with a knife or using a crusher).
  2. Place the wings in the marinade, stir and refrigerate for four hours.
  3. After the spicy chicken wings have been marinated, you can start preparing the deep fryer - you need to pour oil into the frying pan and put it on fire.
  4. While the oil is heating, you should start preparing the sauce: mix the ingredients in a small saucepan and place on low heat. Stir until it reaches a homogeneous consistency, avoiding boiling.
  5. Fry the wings for 15 minutes. At the same time, they need to be constantly turned over. For those who do not like too fatty dishes, you can cook the wings in the oven.
  6. Place the finished wings on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  7. Place the wings in the pan with the sauce and stir.

Wings in honey sauce

Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken wings
  • 60 g honey
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 70 ml vegetable oil
  • 140 g soy sauce
  • 10 g curry
  • 20 g ginger
  • salt

Preparation:

  1. Make the marinade: mix all ingredients (except wings and oil) well.
  2. Pour the marinade over the wings and leave in a cool place for 1 hour.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the wings until golden brown.
  4. Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and simmer the wings with the marinade for 15 minutes with the lid closed over low heat.

Spicy chicken wings like KFC

Everyone knows that the original recipe for the marinade for KFS chicken wings is classified. But lovers of these wings are constantly experimenting in order to get closer to their favorite taste, time after time inventing delicious varieties of the original recipe.

On YouTube, under many video recipes there are comments from chefs who worked at KFC, and thanks to them we know the secret of the crispy breading of the famous chicken wings. If you are not destined to learn the secrets of the marinade, then you can easily invent your own, but the wings will crisp and look the same in KFS.

There are recipes where the breading includes crushed unsweetened cornflakes or oatmeal. But in the original (according to KFS employees), the composition of the breading is much simpler - flour with red pepper for hot wings and an egg-milk mixture are added to non-spicy wings and that’s it. The secret is in the double breading technology

Recipe for making hot wings like KFC at home

Products

  • 500-600 g chicken wings
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 0.5 glasses of water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • flour, red paprika and salt for breading

Cooking step by step

Preparing the marinade Finely chop the hot chili pepper and place it in a cup of water in which we will marinate the wings. Add vegetable oil there.

Wash the chicken wings and cut them into 3 pieces at the joint. Place parts of the wings in the marinade, mix with a spoon (so as not to burn the skin of your hands) and leave for 8-12 hours to marinate.


To better soak the wings in the marinade, you can either pierce the skin with a knife in several places, or make a transverse cut on both sides on the part of the wings where there are 2 bones. Where there is only one bone, you can cut the skin lengthwise. Chicken skin is thick and the marinade does not pass through it well to the meat. By cutting it, you will allow the wings to soak better.

After 12 hours, the chicken wings can be fried. Prepare the breading: for spicy KFS wings, mix flour with salt and paprika.


Place marinated wings in this mixture

and roll it well with your hands on all sides.


Then place them in a colander or sieve and shake off excess breading. Now immerse the wings directly in the sieve in cold water (water temperature no higher than 26 degrees) Do not shake the sieve. Just wait until all the air bubbles come to the surface.

We take the sieve with wings out of the water and wait for it to drain. Shake a little. Then dump the wings back into the breading mixture of flour, salt and red paprika.

We carefully roll them in it. Heat the vegetable oil over the fire and dip our breaded wings into it. Carefully, slowly, one at a time, so that the oil does not splash too much and the temperature does not drop.


Deep fry for 10 minutes. Remove the finished wings using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess fat.


That's all! Spicy chicken wings like KFC are ready!

Chicken wings in beer

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 1.5 l light beer
  • 10 g curry
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • salt

Preparation:

  1. Pass the garlic through a press, add salt and curry and stir until smooth.
  2. Cut the wings in half and rub them with the garlic mixture. Place in a cool place for 1 hour.
  3. Place the wings on a baking sheet, pour in beer and bake in the oven preheated to 220 degrees for 40 minutes.

Cook the wings only after you have thoroughly washed and dried them!

Chicken wings in honey-soy sauce in the oven in a frying pan

This is the simplest recipe for wings in honey. They turn out very tasty and juicy

Products:

  • 500-600 g chicken wings
  • 1-2 table. spoons of honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (40 ml)
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper (mixture of 4 peppers)

How to marinate and cook chicken wings in honey and soy sauce

Wash the chicken wings well under running water.

Cut along the joint into 2 parts.

If you don't like the ends, you can cut them off. You don’t have to cut the wings at all, but marinate them whole. I leave them in, I like the crunch of the fried wing tips. This is acceptable when baking in the oven. If you deep-fry the wings, it is better to remove them so that they do not burn, since there is almost no meat in them and they cook faster.

Prepare marinade with honey and soy sauce

You can adjust the amount of honey to your taste; I added 1.5 tablespoons of thick honey to the marinade. The wings turned out noticeably sweet with an amazing aroma of honey.

If your honey is thick, heat it until liquid in a water bath or in the microwave.

Add soy sauce to the cup of honey.

The garlic must be peeled and washed. Pass through a garlic press (press).

Add ground pepper. I have a mixture of four peppers. I really like it - spicy and aromatic.

Mix everything well. You can add a little salt to the marinade sauce or just salt the wings on top

Dip the prepared wings into the honey-soy marinade. Mix well so that the marinade is on the entire surface.

Cover with a lid or cling film and leave to marinate for at least 2 hours. If you don't have time, marinate for 20 minutes. You can marinate for a day, but in the refrigerator. My wings were marinated for 5 hours at room temperature.

Place the wings in a frying pan (I use cast iron) or on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven to bake until golden brown. This usually takes 35-45 minutes.

When the wings are baked, remove them from the oven and place them on a plate.

These wings are good both warm and cold. If you don't eat the entire portion at once, store it in the refrigerator. They taste even better the next day.
