5. Combine the egg mixture with the semolina swollen with kefir, mix everything until you get a completely smooth mass, roll the dried raisins in a small amount of wheat flour, and this is necessary so that they are well distributed in the baked goods.

If you plan to additionally use any berries for the dough, then they will also need to be sprinkled with wheat flour first.

6. Place raisins in a wheat shell into the dough, add some other similar ingredients at your discretion, then add flour and baking powder, and if you can’t find it, you can use slaked baking soda for this purpose.

7. Now prepare a mold from a heat-resistant material, grease it from the inside with any oil, then lightly sprinkle the inner walls and bottom with wheat flour.

8. Place the prepared dough in a mold, then put it in the oven, which has been heated to 180 degrees, and bake for about forty minutes.

Lush, crumbly manna with sour cream and cottage cheese

There are a great many recipes for making this dessert, but personally, I prefer manna, which requires cottage cheese to prepare. It makes the consistency more airy. The pie turns out rich, and the added orange zest gives it an amazing taste and aroma.

We will need:

  • Sour cream – 100 gr.
  • Cottage cheese – 300 gr.
  • Semolina - one glass
  • Sugar - one glass
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Orange zest (optional) – 0.5 fruit
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 tsp.
  • Baking powder – 11 grams

Preparation:

  1. Beat cottage cheese with eggs until smooth.
  2. Add semolina, sour cream and sugar. Add the zest of half an orange and vanilla sugar.
  3. Mix everything and leave the dough for at least 15 minutes so that the semolina swells. The consistency of curd dough for manna will be similar to thick sour cream.
  4. At the very end, add baking powder and pour the dough into the prepared pan. I baked the manna in a silicone mold, so I didn’t grease the mold. If you cook in an iron pan, you need to grease the pan with vegetable or butter.
  5. Bake the curd manna for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Decorate the cooled semolina as desired. I topped it with strawberries whipped in a blender with sour cream.

This is such a beautiful manna made with sour cream and cottage cheese. Enjoy your tea!
