If you, like me, enjoy simple homemade baked goods, then I suggest adding another cool version of manna to your collection of favorite recipes. A wonderful pie for the whole family without much hassle.

Wet manna: recipe one

For preparation you will need:

  • Milk - 500 ml.
  • Sugar - 200 g.
  • Semolina - 250 g.
  • Flour - 250 g.
  • Kefir - 250 ml, can be replaced with yogurt.
  • Butter - 40 g.
  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Baking powder - 10 g (1 sachet).

In a bowl, mix semolina, sugar and kefir. Leave it for a while to swell. Add eggs and mix well. Melt the butter in a separate container and cool. Add it to the mixture. Add flour and baking powder. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and the dough is ready. Grease a baking dish with oil and sprinkle a little with dry semolina. Pour the dough evenly. Bake at 180 degrees for about thirty minutes. Wet manna is very soft and tender. As soon as the pie is cooked, fill it with milk and leave it in the turned off oven so that it is well soaked and gradually cools. This dessert will appeal to children and adults.

In a slow cooker

Cooking wet manna in a slow cooker will not cause any trouble.

  1. Mix 1 tbsp. wheat flour with the same amount of semolina, pour 1 tbsp. curdled milk, mix well so that there are no lumps.
  2. Beat 2 eggs with ½ tbsp. sugar, add vanilla sugar, 2 tbsp. l. honey, pour into flour, add 1 tsp. baking powder, add ¼ pack of margarine for baking, knead the dough.
  3. Grease the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil and sprinkle with semolina or flour. Pour the dough, place in the multicooker in the “Baking” or “Multi-cook” mode for 50 minutes.

Pour the finished manna with milk and give it time to soak.

Wet manna is the most delicious: recipe two

To prepare this pie you will need the following products:

  • Kefir or drinking yogurt - 1 glass.
  • Semolina - 1 cup.
  • Wheat flour, preferably premium quality - 1 cup.
  • Boiled milk - 250 ml.
  • About 200 grams of granulated sugar.
  • One medium egg.
  • Soda - 1 teaspoon (about 5 grams), it can be replaced with baking powder.

Cooking process:

  1. Beat the egg with a pinch of salt into a fluffy foam.
  2. Add kefir and mix.
  3. Put a teaspoon of soda, kefir will extinguish it.
  4. Add semolina, sugar and vanillin. Stir until the mass is homogeneous. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
  5. Add flour. The dough should be quite liquid and have a consistency similar to sour cream.
  6. Grease the mold with oil. Gently pour in the dough.
  7. Bake for about thirty-five minutes at 180 degrees.
  8. Soak thoroughly with milk.

There are a lot of cooking options. You can add fruits and chocolate to the pie.

Zebra manna with cottage cheese and raisins – step-by-step recipe

This kind of manna is prepared, of course, easily and quickly. Perfect for breakfast and dinner.

Ingredients:

  • Kefir – 500 ml
  • Semolina – 200-300 g
  • Raisins – 300 g
  • Cottage cheese – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 200 g
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Egg – 2-3 pcs
  • Cocoa – 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Oil – for greasing the mold

How to cook manna with cottage cheese and raisins:

1. Pour kefir into a comfortable, deep bowl.

2. Add semolina.

3. Stir semolina with kefir and leave to swell for 1 hour. You can leave it overnight. If the kefir is fatty, we will need 200 g of semolina; if it is low-fat, we will need 300 g of semolina (or one and a half glasses).

4. Soak 300 g of raisins in boiling water for 10 minutes.

5. In a deep bowl, mix 1 kg of cottage cheese, a pinch of salt, 200 g of sugar.

6. Grind the cottage cheese and sugar thoroughly.

7. Add 2-3 eggs.

8. Add swollen semolina to the cottage cheese.

During baking, it is advisable not to open the oven door for 20-25 minutes so that the dough does not fall off

9. Add raisins. And mix everything thoroughly

10. Divide the dough into two parts. The brown part should be smaller.

11. Sift 2 tbsp. spoons of cocoa. Mix.

12. Place the dough on a greased form. First the white layer - 3 tbsp. spoons, then dark layer - 1 tbsp. spoon.

Semolina is a cereal that consists of ground durum wheat. Therefore, in composition and beneficial properties, it is similar to wheat

Sour cream is perfect for manna. To prepare it, you need to beat 200 ml of sour cream with 200 grams of granulated sugar with a mixer. Whisk everything until the sugar is completely dissolved. Next, add lemon juice to the mixture and mix again until smooth. This cream can be used to soak baked goods

When forming the cake, you can draw patterns with a toothpick or knife

14. Place our pie in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

We check the readiness of the manna with a match or a toothpick. If it is dry, the pie is ready.

Cut our manna into pieces, serve with tea or milk, enjoy the taste!

Manna dishes matter. I attribute all my past failures to using the wrong baking pan. In silicone form, you almost always get the perfect semolina cake. In glass dishes, sometimes there is not enough air to come out. Manna cooked in an old frying pan that has served its purpose is good, apparently due to the fact that it is perfectly calcined.

Manna with lemon

Required:

  • 1 cup semolina.
  • Kefir or yogurt - 250 ml.
  • 200 grams of sugar.
  • Two medium eggs.
  • One large lemon.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder.
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of any sifted flour.

Preparation:

  1. Mix semolina with yogurt or kefir. Set aside for 20 minutes to swell.
  2. Beat the eggs with a whisk with sugar and vanilla (cinnamon).
  3. Grind the lemon with a blender or using a meat grinder.
  4. Mix all ingredients together, add baking powder and flour. The consistency should be sour cream.
  5. If the dough is runny, add a little flour.
  6. Grease the baking sheet with oil so that the cake does not stick. If you use a silicone mold, you don’t have to smear or sprinkle it with anything.
  7. Pour out the resulting mass. Bake for thirty minutes at medium temperature, but not higher than 200 degrees. Check the readiness of the pie with any wooden stick.

Striped manna with milk

Manna dough can be kneaded not only with kefir, but also with milk.

  1. To prepare the dough, you need to pour 1.5 tbsp in advance. semolina with warm milk (200 ml) and leave for an hour to swell.
  2. Beat 3 eggs with a glass of sugar and a pinch of salt. Add beaten eggs to semolina, add 1 tsp. baking powder. Soften 50 g of butter and stir into the dough, divide it in half.
  3. Add 2-3 tbsp to one half. l. cocoa, stir well.
  4. Preheat the oven and line the pan with parchment paper. The dough needs to be laid out in parts: first a large spoonful of light dough in the middle of the mold, then a spoonful of dark dough on top of it, and then in the same order. The dough is quite liquid, so the layers spread out. When all the dough has been poured, you need to take a wooden skewer and draw strips from the center to the edges. Wavy patterns are formed on the surface.
  5. Bake the manna at a temperature of 170-1800C for 40 minutes. After the pie is ready, it is soaked in warm milk and sugar (similar to the previous recipe).

This manna is prepared without flour.

Adviсe

By following the recommendations of experienced chefs, you can avoid mistakes and prepare delicious baked goods:

  • You can add raisins, dried apricots, lemon zest or marmalade to the dough for sweetness.
  • You can pour condensed milk or melted chocolate over the finished pie.
  • Wet manna is prepared at a temperature of no more than 200 degrees, it depends on the oven. Cooking time varies from 30 to 50 minutes.
  • If the cake does not rise during baking, it means the dough was too thick.
  • To make the cake crumbly and tasty, do not add a lot of flour and butter.
  • To speed up the process, you can use a multicooker that has a “Baking” mode.

With raisins

And the following recipe allows you to bake manna without eggs. It will turn out airy and crumbly.

  1. 1.5 tbsp. semolina pour 1 tbsp. warm milk and leave to swell for 30-40 minutes. Melt ½ stick of butter, cool slightly, mix with ½ tbsp. sugar, pour into a bowl with semolina. Add ½ tsp. soda quenched with vinegar.
  2. To make the manna delicious, add washed and dried raisins, peeled walnuts or peanuts, candied fruits, chocolate chips, fruits - whatever your heart desires.
  3. Grease a metal mold with butter and sprinkle with semolina. Pour the dough and bake the manna in a preheated oven at 1800C for 35 minutes, checking the readiness with a wooden stick.

Once the manna is ready, you need to pour a glass of warm milk onto it without removing it from the mold. It is manna, thanks to the properties of the cereal, that absorbs a large amount of liquid and does not fall apart, but becomes soft, juicy and very tasty.

How to choose semolina

It must be ground from durum wheat. Take cereal in transparent packaging. Shake it, it should be crumbly, without lumps. Check if there are any bugs in it. Semolina is stored in glass containers for no more than a year. During long-term storage, bugs may appear or an unpleasant odor may appear.

Semolina does not contain fiber and is well absorbed by the body. It gives a special, delicate taste to baked goods.

Wet manna, cooked in the oven or slow cooker, will be a wonderful dessert that you can treat to guests. By adding coffee or cocoa to it, you can achieve a chocolate taste and color. For those who like not very sweet baked goods, add lemon or orange.

Classic manna with kefir - very tasty and airy

The most delicious manna I know. It will definitely work out, even if you have constantly failed before. A lush, airy pie according to a classic recipe will delight your family, and you can safely go further in your experiments with baking options.

Take:

  • Kefir - a glass.
  • Granulated sugar - 150 gr.
  • Eggs - a couple.
  • Baking powder – 15 gr.
  • Vanillin – a pinch.
  • Semolina - a glass.
  • Oil – 100 gr.
  • Salt.

Step-by-step recipe with photos

Take the dishes deeper, fill in the cereal, pour in the kefir product. I recommend using full-fat kefir, this will affect the taste of the baked goods. Stir with a spoon until smooth. Set aside for 60 minutes. During this period, the semolina will absorb kefir and become soft.

In a separate bowl, mix soft butter and sugar. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so that you don’t have to quickly soften it in the microwave. I advise you to add granulated sugar in parts, it will be more convenient to mix the contents.

Beat in the eggs one at a time. Knead the dough thoroughly again.

Add the baking powder last. Stir and proceed to the next step.

Grease the pan with butter in a circle. Apply directly with your hands, lubricating the entire area.

Combine semolina with egg mixture, stir. Transfer to form.

Preheat the oven to 200 o C. Place the pie, immediately reduce the temperature to 180 o C. Bake for 20-25 minutes, no more. When you see a beautiful, appetizing crust, take it out and check the readiness with a toothpick. If necessary, return and hold a little longer.

Boil tea, pour sour cream or any jam over the dessert and invite your family to the table.

I want to warn you that semolina pie never rises very much. If you read that the mass will increase 2-3 times or more, do not believe it. This is not a biscuit. Increasing the dough by one and a half times is the norm. This is a lush manna. But it is always crumbly and amazingly tasty.

By adding different ingredients, you can not only change the taste, but also change the appearance of the pie. According to this recipe, puffed manna is prepared with cocoa. It can be baked all chocolate, but kids really like the alternating dark and white colors.

  • A glass of flour, granulated sugar, kefir, semolina.
  • Oil – 100 gr.
  • Cocoa powder 0 2 small spoons.
  • Cinnamon – ½ teaspoon.
  • Eggs - a couple.
  • Soda – ½ teaspoon.

How to prepare lush manna:

  1. As before, pour kefir over the cereal to swell. Leave for an hour.
  2. Beat the eggs, adding sweetener.
  3. Melt the butter, let cool slightly. Pour into semolina mixture. Add eggs.
  4. Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl. You don't have to extinguish the soda. Stir the mixture, break up any flour lumps. The test mixture will be quite liquid.
  5. Divide into two bowls. Pour cocoa and cinnamon into a bowl with a smaller amount of dough. If the mixture seems too thick, dilute with a spoon of kefir.
  6. How to make a zebra? Everything is simple here. Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with oil. Pour 4 tablespoons of white dough into the middle.
  7. Pour chocolate into the center of the white mass. The dough will begin to spread, forming a random pattern similar to the color of a zebra.
  8. If you like to draw, make any design on the surface of the manna.
  9. Bake the pie at 190-200 o C. Baking time 30-40 minutes. If you want to check how baked the manna is, pierce it with a toothpick.
