You can use any canned salad. The main thing is that it is in oil. It could be sardine, sardinela, tuna or salmon. Mash it with a fork without draining the liquid.

  • beef – 300 gr.;
  • sour cucumbers - 4 medium;
  • canned peas - 1 can;

  • green onions.

Boil the potato tubers and carrots in advance without peeling them. At the same time, prepare the meat.

To get tasty meat, it is placed in boiling water and not overcooked. Be sure to add bay leaves and roots during boiling for taste.

Cook the eggs for Olivier for about 5-7 minutes. If you cook them longer, the yolk will turn blue.

Peel the prepared vegetables and eggs after cooling. Cut all the prepared ingredients into small cubes, including the boiled beef.

The size of the cut is an individual matter, but usually for Olivier, components are cut the size of a little fingernail.

Add peas without liquid and a couple of spoons of mayonnaise to the salad. If desired, you can make your own mayonnaise.

The usual Olivier is potatoes, peas, cucumbers and ....., of course, sausage.

  • barrel and crispy cucumbers - 3 pieces;

  • hard-boiled eggs – 4 pcs.;
  • canned peas - 500 ml jar;
  • onion – 1 head;
  • ready-made mayonnaise – 2 – 3 tablespoons;
  • greenery.

Boil potatoes and chicken eggs in advance. As for the sausage, if you doubt its quality or the salad will be stored in the cold for some time, it is better to boil it.

The taste of Olivier salad with boiled or raw sausage will be completely different.

Cut the potatoes, eggs and boiled sausage into fairly small cubes. If you prepare salads in advance, then finish preparing at this stage. It is better not to add ingredients such as cucumbers and peas to the salad in advance.

Just before serving, we finish preparing Olivier with sausage. Drain all the liquid from the peas and add them to the other ingredients. Pickled cucumbers will also go there.

If the salad uses barrel or pickled cucumbers, there is no point in adding onions, except maybe a green feather for decoration.

But if you use pickled cucumbers, add onions to your salad. But first pour boiling water over it already chopped to remove all the bitterness.

Add all the ingredients and add the sauce. This will be the same mayonnaise.

Once a year, you can turn a blind eye to its harmfulness or use a low-fat version.
