And after adding tomato paste (2-3 tbsp), it remains to cook the food in the pan for another 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Homemade minced chicken needs to be salted to taste and combined with boiled rice. The already cooled frying from the frying pan is laid out in the same mass and the contents of the raw egg are poured. You can add any spices to your taste.
- Next, you need to form small balls from the resulting mass and move them into the mold. They are filled with the remaining tomato paste, slightly diluted with boiled water. The sauce can also be salted and peppered.
The treat will be baked in the oven at 195-200°. Be sure to cover it with foil or a lid. The dish needs to be cooked for approximately 35-40 minutes.
What can I add?
To make the treat tastier and look more appetizing, you can add fresh herbs to it. For example, finely chop washed and dried dill and parsley. This ingredient is poured into the minced meat before forming the meatballs.

- First, you need to thoroughly rinse the rice until the water is clear and cook it until half cooked. You should immediately salt the cereal.
- Meat pulp of 2 types must be washed, dried with paper towels and cut into medium pieces. Next, they are passed through a meat grinder to obtain a homogeneous thick minced meat.
- Next, you need to add chopped onions (2 pcs.) to the meat. The latter is first peeled and passed through a meat grinder.
- All that remains is to add salt, pepper, the contents of a raw egg, rice cereal, and pour in a small amount of filtered water.
- After thorough mixing, small balls are formed from the minced meat. It is convenient to do this with your hands moistened with warm water. If you have a special ice cream scoop at home, you can use it.
- The resulting balls are placed on a baking sheet with high sides. They need to be covered with sauce. To prepare the latter, butter is melted in a frying pan and the remaining and finely chopped onion is fried in it until soft.
- Then add grated carrots to the base of the sauce. Together, the vegetables will fry for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Next, you can add flour to the sauce, pour in the remaining tomato paste, broth, and cream. After thorough mixing, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Keep the sauce on the stove until it boils and cook the bubbling mass for a couple of minutes. Afterwards it is poured into the hedgehogs in a baking tray.
The treat will take approximately 45-50 minutes to prepare at medium temperature.

Let's start by twisting the minced meat. As I already clarified, you can use any meat. What I like best is a mixture of pork and beef in equal proportions. It seems to me that juicy and flavorful pork perfectly complements the dry and very tasty beef.
Along with the meat, we pass a couple of onions through a meat grinder. If you have already prepared minced meat from the freezer, you need to completely defrost it, then drain the liquid. If it was chopped without onions, the vegetable can be finely chopped with a knife, then chopped with a blender.
Wash the rice thoroughly. We drain all the water. Place the cereal into minced meat with onions. Mix everything with your hands so that all components are evenly distributed among each other. A spoon will not help in this matter. Digging through it is a mouse fuss. But sleight of hand turns rice and meat into a homogeneous mass in a couple of minutes.

- At the next stage, you need to add the fried hedgehogs to the sauce obtained in the frying pan. You can add salt to the treat.
