The main advantage of a multicooker is its automated process, which allows you to save precious time, which is most often spent on preparing breakfast in the morning. For this reason, when inventing recipes for a multicooker, they focus on quick preparation of dishes, so that it is enough to add ready-made products and set the desired mode, and the “electric cook” handles everything else.
The multicooker itself can correctly set cooking modes, taking into account the specified time specified in the recipe. This makes the cooking process much easier, not to mention the fact that a person can be distracted by other things without constantly running to the kitchen.

Curd pie in a slow cooker
Another of the oldest Roman authors writing about agriculture, Lucius Junius Moderatus Columella, spoke of cottage cheese as a desirable dish on the table not only of the rich, but also of the poor. However, not everyone likes the peculiar, slightly sour taste of “pure” cottage cheese, so we strive to add a little sugar, raisins or dried apricots, or fresh fruits or berries to it. Probably, in the process of such research, cheesecakes, cottage cheese casseroles, pancakes with all kinds of cottage cheese fillings and, of course, cottage cheese pies were born. The latter are a special subject.
There are a lot of sweet and savory options for making cottage cheese pie in a slow cooker: with berries, fruits, chocolate, herbs. Based on cottage cheese, you can prepare various types of dough: puff pastry, yeast, curd-shortbread, etc. Curd dough is easy and quick to prepare. Of course, it is best to use natural homemade cottage cheese of any fat content, but if this is not possible, you can get by with store-bought cottage cheese, just not too dry.
There are some secrets to making cottage cheese pie in a slow cooker. For example, eggs are added to the dough to make it more plastic, and in order for the baked goods to be airy and light, baking powder should be added to the dough. As for sugar, it is recommended to add very little or not add it at all to the curd dough. Then from this dough you can bake a pie for every taste: with a sweet filling and a savory one. To make the cottage cheese in the pie more tender, it is better to rub it through a sieve before cooking. Just don’t put the cottage cheese through a meat grinder, it will become heavy, dense and viscous.
